There's always an indie effort like the Avernum or Eschalon series - parts six and two, respectively, are recent releases. Both are entirely mouse-driven (at least the later parts, in Avernum's case; each installment is stand-alone, so you can jump in wherever you like), though they're decidedly "old-school" in feel, complete with stats galore and turn-based combat. The best part? The huge demo/shareware portions give you plenty to sample, to see if they're right for you.

As far as I know, Drakensang: The River of Time will be out in English soon. I also think there's an expansion in the works for Drakensang 2 called Phileason's Secret. http://beefjack.com/blog/game-blog/news/drakensang-river-of-time-being-expanded/There will be a third Drakensang as well. And of course, there's the Witcher 2 in developemnt, although I can't remember if it will use point and click as well as keyboard and mouse. Sadly Radon Labs, the company behind the Drakensang games has been experiencing financial troubles. Luckily Big Point Game Portal has taken over (bought) Radon Labs as pr. this announcement: http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10683And Fallout: New Vegas, made by Obsidian should be released this year at a later date, I think. Fallout: New Vegas will use the same engine as Fallout 3 and Oblivion did. If you could play both these games, you should be able to play Fallout: New Vegas. And apparently there is a new Elder Scrolls game in development: http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10691And I agree about the Eschalon series and the Avernum series as well. And if you're into Dragon Age, there's new DLC out, but I think you know that already. Maggie, can you use a gamepad like the Xbox 360 controller for Windows. I'm asking because I'm playing Stalker and Assasin's Creed right now. And I find there pretty great. In Stalker you'll use the wsad keys to move. Everything else can be done with the mouse as far I can see. I also think you can customize the controls? Don't know about Assasin's Creed, though in regard to customization. You also use the wsad keys to move here, but if you an use a gamepad, the game could be played, I think.

Hello- I do mean Big Fish, they have some great games, but am looking forward to some of the new RPG's. Drac- I have a boyfriend, my husband and I celebrate our 40th wedding anniversay this August!!!!! Karsten I take you mean the controller for the xbox, no I do not know anything about it. I am glad to hear there are games coming out. I have oblivion, but cannot get the hang of it, I seem to get stuck when I try to go through the first portal? I put it on and take it off, then I try again. Thanks for the links to all the other and I am really looking forward to The Witcher 2, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed (a little hard walking though) that it will be point and click. Thanks everyone for all your help. maggie

I've heard of the game Oblivion and have seen it in stores. Can someone tell me what it's like? Anything like Tomb Raider?

Gerry, Oblivion is not like Tomb Raider at all. You can read more about it here... ***here***.

Gerry, if you decide to get Oblivion, get game of the year because it has 2 expansions with it. I've played that game 4 times - twice on PC and twice on PS. Got up to a 45 once. I believe 50 is the highest. Maybe it's time to dust it off again. You can adjust the difficulty and save any time you want.

Thank you Dradvr and Yankee Clipper. I will check it out. I do like to be able to adjust the difficulty level to easy, if possible, the first time I play this type of game.

2 point and click games I can think of. Torchlight and Dungeon Siege 3(in development). Also I suggest taking a look at the Fable games. I know the third installment will be PC also.
edit: Some reason the BBcode isn't working for me >.< (removed my link)

I still like the more nebulous "soon" Blizzard Entertainment style!
"When it is done" is just too sensible... and like, you know, normal!

maggie57 Did you play the two King's Bounty games ?? They are not fully fledged RPGs but they are great fun - and they offer "point & click" [And auto combat is also an option ] Cheers. Mad
