I could use some help on the fuses. This sort of puzzle is hard for me. I'm playing at the senior level.

Never mind. As soon as I stopped thinking about it the answer came. Hah!

I'm having so much fun with this game, so far. Of course, I always get stuck somewhere along the line.

I had trouble with the sprinkler system, until I figured that each horizontal (or vertical) pipe can only have one sprinkler turned ON. Drawing an imaginary line horizontally, vertically, and diagonally to make sure there were no two sprinklers in the same line helped a lot.

The fuses were making me crazy, as well. I finally did it by process of elimination.

Number 1 and 8 are the easiest to place, since they only have one consecutive number each ( 2 and 7 ). They should be placed in the hardest position - the middle. The middle is the hardest position, because each middle space shares 6 spaces that cannot have consecutive numbers. The easiest positions to place are the top and bottom spaces. 7 and 2 go here. The last 4 side spaces are easy, after that. Good luck!

Going nuts trying to reset the video camera. All the numbers have to connect consecutively. I'm stuck at 61 to 62. Have gone so far and can't see where to go from here or what to redo. Any help (or picture of the finished product) would be appreciated.

I'm playing the senior detective. The top two numbers you showed are not the same in my version. I have a red number on the top left and it's not either of the ones you have. Help!

I guess there are two different versions of this puzzle depending on whether you are playing junior or senior. I'll see if I can find info about this for senior level; I played the junior level.

Have fun with the game, Melia. When I got to this puzzle, for a few horrifying moments I thought it might be timed. Fortunately that was not the case! rotfl

I can't catch any mice without a trap, and I can't get the trap without rearranging the F-scale numbers.

Where in the world is the information needed to complete this? Good ol' Pa keeps telling me my wind speed column isn't right.

Have you looked on the wall to the left of Scott's desk? There's a paper there that will provide useful information. There's also some information on the laptop in the cellar.

Thanks for such a speedy response! I'll have a look, so long as Scott doesn't yell at me smile

This should be helpful.

Anybody else having a hard time with the gears puzzle for the transmission? I always nearly get it and then there's one that's out of place. Any suggestions?

Edit: Success! After how many hours? But am on the way again.

BTW, I never could get anything done about the vacuum tube. Went to Pa's and didn't get another one and there's no opportunity in the dialogue to do anything about it. It's the only thing I can think of that needs to be done. Don't know what else I should be doing right now. I found a key, but there's no place to use it.

Melia, I played on junior level and thus had a task list provided, so at no point was I at a loss as to what to do next. I didn't have any problems with the vacuum tube, either, so I'm not sure what happened there for you. I'm trying to recall that part of the game where you are, and if I think of anything I will let you know. I do know what key you are referring to, and you carry that around with you for a while before you have the opportunity to use it.

There's the jackalope game that Nancy keeps saying she could get to work, but doesn't do anything about it. And the replacement hose for the one that's too narrow - nothing's come of that yet. What to do? Are we talking glitch? I got the mystery box. What a tedious effort to make enough money!

Never mind! Got it!
