Hi all! This may be one of those things that I hit myself in the forehead for as soon as someone tells me where to look but here goes...

Click to reveal..
I managed to blow myself up when trying to put the water into the golf cart. I did the second chance but the water dispenser is no longer in my inventory or in the shed where I first found it.

Is this a glitch or am I not looking in the correct place for it?

Hi Celtic,

I think what's likely here is that the game has registered you have already put the water in, and with your second chance you can now go on and solve the rest of the puzzle. Are you still able to adjust the digital numbers?

Hiya Rushes! It turns out that I had the dispenser all along. I thought it was something else. I clicked on it a few times and it didn't work - which is why I posted. But it worked after I posted, of course. smile Not sure if the game was buggy or if I did something wrong but it's all good now!

So I've perfected my coconut throwing and can now consistently beat the monkey, but the

compass
that the walk-through says to take has not been offered to me. I received one of the

dials
when I played with the monkey on the far right but no sign of the

compass
.

I went through the walk-through to see if I missed something - because I probably did - but I can't see what it is. Does anything obvious that I might have neglected to do jump out at anyone?

And do I have to include spoiler buttons when describing something like this? I don't want to ruin it for anyone else but I also don't want to annoy anyone trying to help me with multiple spoiler alerts. laugh

Celtic Lark,

You don't need to use the spoiler tag on these kind of questions. Thanks for asking.

Please use one thread per game. We can then follow your gameplay better.
You can find all your posts at top of the page - My Place.

As for the compass:
1. Johnny should have asked you to get it.
2. Johnny should state the monkey that took the compass - notched eared monkey.
3. You should have read Sonny Joon's Field Research Notes and learn about that monkey.
4. Play with the monkey that is at left - not the one at right.

Thanks, MaG! It's been a while since I've posted - I've forgotten how it works here. smile I don't usually have to post so much in one game. For some reason, this ND isn't quite clicking for me.

Johnny hasn't asked me to get the compass or talked about the monkey. He gave me a battery for finding his beacon and that's all he's asked me to do. I've done everything in the walk-through (as far as I can tell) up to the point where he should be asking me. When I talk to him, I get no conversation options but to say goodbye. I've read the research notes and have played the games and won with all three monkeys now. I have a treasure trove of "prizes". LOL

I must have missed something along the way but I can't figure out what. I'll keep working on it!

Okay, I think I've figured out what I've missed but I'm not sure how to get "to" it, so to speak. I've decoded the journal but in the walk-through, there is a bold line about where the Caridad is and the iron chest. Does Nancy say that? She didn't say it in my game but I'm not getting any more hotspots on the journal to decode more. How do I get her to reach that conclusion?

Hmm, I'm not sure if Nancy repeats the line about the Caridad or not. As long as you've fully decoded and read the respective page in the journal that should be fine.

But -- You do need to know that a metal detector would have to be used for searching for the treasure. Nancy can get this info by fully reading the book in the basket to the side of the sofa, back at the resort. It mentions a metal detector. See if that triggers the dialogue with Johnny. luck

That worked, Rushes. Thanks so much! I had read that book at the very beginning of the game when I first explored the resort but I guess I had to read it again at the right time to trigger the dialogue with Johnny. smile
