Has anybody else experienced strange things with Big Fish lately? I downloaded Agatha Christie 4:50 to Paddington. Played a little (10 minutes). Quit and went back in. There is a beginning flash and then it goes back to the desktop. My computer is less than 3 weeks old and pretty powerful. Also, I had contacted them regarding a download issue; got initial response, but no followup. Thanks.

BigFish has been normal for me. Just because a computer is new does not mean updates are current. You will likely need to update your computer. They will be best to let you know what you need, they have ways of checking.

Ana: I did get the game to work. It is a little different than some other games. My computer also has auto updates and system checking.

I'm still wondering why no response to my request for help on the latest issue.

Thanks.

Sometimes their mail ends up in the spam folder and you may not know it. They can answer all these questions better than I, I suggest you contact them again.

If you still have a tab for the game at the bottom and still pops out of the game when click on it, been having that problem, too. Usually closing or minimizing browsers allows the game to play. Have that problem with a few of the games but not all.

Ana: I sent them another email. They even gave me an "incident" number. Maybe they're having technical problems. I'll wait a little longer before I contact them again. Thanks.
Acornia: Yes, that's exactly what happens. It seems to be working now, though.

Got a reply from Big Fish. Said they'd been having a lot of emails lately. Couldn't solve my problem, but gave me a free game. Those people are great!

Some games just do not work on certain computers as there are so many different configurations. The typical well tested game will still fail on ~1% of computers.

Most of my BF games will will not play if I have any browsers open. Once they are closed off they play fine. I have new Win7 64 bit. Otherwise, no problems smile

My situation is the same as Smitty's.

Any open browser and my game closes me back to the desktop. It doesn't exactly crash the game - just minimizes it in a "paused" state. I close the offending browsers and the game will play.

It has to be a Win 7 64 bit problem.

*sigh*

So many games, so little time.

good info Smitty145 and raylinstephens. We will investigate as we have not seen this. Can you give me a few games where this occurs and afew where it does not (if any). This would help a lot!!

The same thing has been happening to me for awhile. I will note which games. Usually I just shut the browser down, open up the game, and then Alt. + Tab and start the browser again. (I like to have the game running and be able to look at your guides if I need them)

LOVE your games!!

I often have a browser open if I need to look at a walkthrough. But, I have never had a problem getting bumped out or having the game minimized and I, too have a Windows 7 64 bit system. crazy

BFG Guy...this has happened on most of the games that I play BUT the game just minimizes to the task bar, I close the "offender" and then hit the game and it comes back up, paused and ready to play. It has never stopped a game completely.

Thanks for your interest in our problems. It sure raises my admiration for your site.

Jody

I was asked to check on the names of games that I have the problems playing with the browser open. While going through about 10-15 of the ones I knew for sure were problems I found that all are now fine. Needless to say, being such an IHOGs addict (who doesn't want a cure) I have many more games but I'm sure they are good too now.

I just wanted to alert others with the same problems here so you can check and may find all is good.

BFG-Guy: Thank you for taking the time to stop here and show an interest. I see why you have such great Customer Service at BFG and this is what makes happy gamers coming back for more. praise

The problem I have had for a few months now is if I connect to the internet, then try and open the BFG Games Manager, the PC freezes and I have to reboot.

I have to remember to run BFG Games Manager first and then connect to the net
