How cool is this. Rhem 4 has not even been released, and we have a walkthrough on Gameboomers. Way to go MaGtRo. Now I can feel confident about buying the game, knowing that I have a resource when I get stuck, and I know I will get stuck.

Stach -- the game has been released via download. You can get it at The Adventure Shop, for instance. wave

I have a question on the first door after you exit the Tram at the start of the game. When I set the balls in the panel and then look down, the squares that are highlighted are 2, 6, 9 and 14. According to the walkthrough, the correct squares are 4,7, 10 and 14, and these open the door. Is this a glitch in my copy? I did have a lot of trouble installing the game at first.

Take note that the squares are grouped. There are 4 sets.
When you see the clue on the round tower and then go to the puzzle itself - the set of squares are in different position as that of the clue.

The sets can be made up of 2 or 3 or 4 squares. luck

OK thanks. I did notice the groupings, but just shaded the squars in sequence. I guess I'll have to be more vigulent.

This may sound stupid, but I'm confused by the compass. The walkthrough says if the top point is highlighted, the player is looking north, but says if the right point is highlighted, the player is looking west. Shouldn't the right point be east?

If I'm looking at a map, top is north, right is east, bottom is south and left is west.

That is how Knut explained it.

It is based on the item you're looking at - not your position.
The land's left is east and the land's right is west.

Not sure what you mean by "it depends on what your looking at". In the game is left always East and right always West?

Maybe maps are different in Germany. Ha Ha

I've read about this confusion on the use of the compass before. If it helps, the highlighted arrow is always pointing to the North as a real compass would do (you move but the arrow is stationary). So when the arrow is point right, North is to your right. This would mean you're turned left and are now facing West. If the arrow is pointing down, your back is to the North and you're now facing South. Arrow left, North left, you turned right and are facing East. Picture yourself in a room with one window that's North. As you turn, your turning away from the window facing other directions.

This may be the wrong place to post but I paid for Rhem 4 and got a confirmation email that Kagi received the money and would let me know when I could play it. I have not heard anything for a week now. How do I contact Kagi to see what the problem is? Thanks for any info given.

I have just finished the 9 doors hallway, or so I thought. I saved the game after opening each door. When I restarted the game, none of the doors would open.

Can someone tell me how to save at this point so I don't have to solve this puzzle every time.

Thanks

Sorry, you have to.
But once you've learned the procedure it's easy although I admit a bit tedious.
