Thought this might be one I'd choose as my punch card freebie. But lots of negative feedback on BFG forum. Just downloaded the trial version and early on in the game I've had none of the technical problems. But 10 minutes into the game, I've already finished the first Chapter. Given the file size of this game, it's hard to know at this point if the first chapter is indicative of what to expect with the rest of the game. Anxious to hear what GB members have to say.

I played the full hour of the trial, finished 2 chapters, didn't have any technical problems. I checked with the WT and it's about a 1/4 of the whole game. The story looks interesting, not a bad game, I bought it with a discount coupon.

Here are some first impressions:

The game has first person view and uses still pictures. The animations are mostly just objects, that are moved over the screens. The hidden object part is not the way, that you have to collect objects from a list in a single screen. If you have to find objects, than they are part of a puzzle and you have to use them later. An example: in the first screen there is a mechanism where 5 cogwheels are missing. 4 of them are hidden directly on the screen, to get the other one, you have to do something else first. The puzzles I found until now are good varied and there is a real story, driven by dialogues, notes and short cutscenes in comic-style. There is an inventory, where you can store things and use them in the environment.

And also a technical issue: I had problems with the performance, especially when opening the inventory. I've tried it on two different PCs with the same effect. Disabeling the Custom Cursors in the options menu helps to avoid this.

I'm enjoying this game, the puzzles are getting better and better, not too difficult and interesting.

I grabbed this one with the sale after 5 minutes. Allowing you to adjust the brightness is a great option. I'm enjoying this game.

Then again, I always feel at home when exploring Asylums. rotfl

This is a great puzzle game and I didn't have any problems at all.

However, I'm almost finished and I don't know where I missed a wooden arrow. I have the one on the Letters plaque, the one in the bookcase and the last one. I can't find in the walkthrough where the other one is supposed to be, any help appreciated.

There is one by a skull. All 4 are listed in the walkthrough.

Hi, Teddo!

Glad you managed to find it. I played and enjoyed the demo, so this was my last "ENDLESS" purchase for the weekend. I've already received my 2 punch card credits for August and my September Game Club credit should be there any day now, so I'm saving them for 3 full price games.

Just finished this one and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Played thru smoothly, w/no glitch in sight.
This is not just an HOG or IHOG...
is there a term for AIHOG?

It's not any of those, it's just an Adventure Lite or Puzzle Adventure.

Yes, there's only one hidden object scene in the whole game and the context of this is quite funny. It gave me a laugh. smile

I'm so enjoying this - very investigatory, every puzzle makes sense and I've jumped several times so far (Mr. Creeps...eww)! Protagonist is a tad cynical and down-to-earth, which appeals .

A lot of thought and detail has gone into this and it's got novel, humorous yet macabre twists to puzzles. Love it!

Thnx 4 the correction, Ana,
I had heard it referred 2 as HOG
and disagreed.

I like it - going to buy with the special running right now. Today's the last day!

Adventure light sounds about right!

Great game! I wish there were more Adventure Lite offerings. I'm getting spoiled be these!
