Oh no I just read about Grey Matter and the delay again. This is really bad news. What adventure game is there to look for this year? I love mystery and spooky. Is any good game to be released in October?

Anyone else feeling bored and need a new adventure game fix?

wave Thanks Ana I don't know anything about the game but going to check on it in new releases on GB maybe there is hope this boredom will end.

EDIT..............
Does anyone know if Lost Crown sequel will be released in 2010? I just read this below and loved lost crown especially the ghostbusting in the house at night with the high tech stuff

The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle: It is a direct sequel to The Lost Crown, set in the town of Saxton, but exploring new areas and a new story. Originally, Saxton had three kings, and three crowns. One was destroyed, one was 'found' in The Lost Crown, and the third is thought to have washed out to sea, many hundreds of years ago. But, Lucy Reubans and Nigel Danvers are on the case, so expect to find more than you'd expect, lurking out there, in the landscape. To expand the gameplay, and heighten the enjoyment, gamers will be choosing between Nigel and Lucy, throughout the game, to exploit their differing strengths and weaknesses. Gamers will also have the chance to build their own, customised, ghost-hunting gadgets, from the electronics, junk and household items found in the gameworld. I am very excited about the game, as I believe series has a long way to go...and will be with us for some time to come

Ana, the screen-shots for Bracken Tor: The Time of Tooth and Claw, look very promising. And supposedly it is due for release on Halloween 2010. Good timing scared

Love being scared out of my wits, but I'd love a good Sci-fi game. smile

I would like to see another game like Shivers.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

You and me both. smile That was pure fun. I still like to play it.

That's the thing--games got bigger and bolder as the years went on, but seldom got better than with games like AMBER and Shivers and Myst. The graphics improved, but the concepts really didn't--they couldn't. Those were highwater marks in adventure gaming, IMHO, along with games like Riven and Dark Fall and Scratches.

Isn't Decay supposed to be out sometime (hopefully) soon?

That looked a bit like Inherent Evil in terms of layout and plot....

Argyle-i agree with you 100% .! I enjoy good graphics (they don't have to be Top of the Line)as well as anyone else but those games you mentioned are still-even now-outstanding!If someone is a good writer and has good team then you can get Atmosphere in a game...and that is what draws me in.

I just finished replaying Barrow Hill as an antidote to the wait for Coven, Bracken Tor or Last Half of Darkness-The Serpent Moon.

It would be wonderful if we could see something like Shivers though. Guess we will just have settle for replaying it - - again.
