Ahhhhh, 12.7%....sounds exactly like something Blizzard would do! 12-7 is definitely a Cataclysmic date in our history. I wonder if Amazon will be able to ship sooner? Whenever it gets here I'll be happy, and probably still trying to learn all the new mechanics

I was talking to a fellow guildie this morning. I've been playing Wow about 4-1/2 years now, so long that I have memories associated with different places in it. So some of the changes are going to be a little bit rough on me, believe it or not. Hmm. Maybe I play a little bit too much? Last night I took my 80 warlock to the Duskwood Cemetary just so I could kill MorLadin (or whatever the name is of the one who wanders the cemetary), a dream of mine. I looked for Stitches but couldn't find him. Well, I have both my priest and shammy in frost gear & upgrades, so now I'm trying to get the same for my lock before Cataclysm. Then we can start the whole push all over again to 85. Such is life.

Woo Hoo!! Two months to wait though. Don't know if I can wait that long. So many changes. I will order mine from Interact too, I guess so I can get the key without waiting as well. That's a great idea. Hi to all my WoW GB friends and guildies! Andrea Edit: Hmmmm, maybe not. They want alot more for the CE than other sites, and the postage is rather high, IMO. Gonna shop around a bit.

I just ordered the standard version - no need for CE. Besides, it's really the only place that ships the US version to denmark

Waahhh - the patch is Tuesday! People on my server are calling it "Black Tuesday", lol. I have 3 80s to retalent and relearn how to play their new spells. Blizz is getting as bad as Microsoft with changing everything around. I'm glad I don't have any pallies. They are going to get hit really hard with changes, from what they tell me.

Maintenance starts tonight at midnight PST. People are pulling their toons out of major cities because they say there will be major lag. I have my toons in the inn at K3, that cold draft inn. Hope it goes well for all of us!

Golly, I hope everything will be OK. I didn't know about moving my toons, and I think most of them are in SW. I think I'm gonna miss the old WoW in many ways, but am excited for all the new stuff. L4L and Jean, haven't seen you in game for a while. Miss you guys! Linda, Thanks for the help last night! Hi Karen! Hope you're feeling good! Andrea

Hi Andrea:
I'm on -- I've just been playing on my other server for a while. Too bad we can't just play cross server when we want to. I think Blizz really needs to implement that, although I guess the logistics would be huge!
I've clicked on the launcher and have been downloading the patch for at least 3 hours now. It says it's doing the noncritical updates for the past half hour so I don't know how long that will take. This is going to be really interesting!

Hi Jean! What is your other server? I could start a new toon there so we could play together. Been thinking of doing that after Cata starts. Want a Goblin! It would be my only Horde character. LOL! Andrea

Hi Andrea:
I'm on Sister's of Elune, but I don't have any Horde toons. Well, I have one that I haven't played in a couple of years. If you are interested in starting a worgan on the Alliance side I'm in a great guild that you could join! Everyone will be creating toons. Everyone there is very helpful and friendly.
I might think about a goblin, but since all my friends are on the Alliance side the chances of that are pretty slim, right now anyway.

Yep! I will definitely do that! Worgens are so ugly! Maybe a Shaman? Can a Worgen be a Shaman? Andrea
Edit: Jean Sisters of Elune is a RP server. How is that different from the normal server of Draka? Edit2: No Shaman

Hi Andrea:
Can't worgan's be shaman's? I hadn't even looked into it that far yet. Darn. I have a lot of fun with my shammy - she's dual specced restro/elemental, but everyone always wants her heals.
I'm not sure what class I want to make yet. I already have shaman, priest, druid, warlock and mage. I have a rogue but quit player her at 63 so forgot how to play altogether. I was thinking of trying maybe a retribution pally even though I'm really bad at melee, lol
Well, technically we are an rp server which means people do a lot of role-playing, but I haven't really seen much. You can find guilds that do a lot of rping, and sometimes you see people wandering around rping, but I don't think it's as heavy as in other rp servers.
On an rp server you don't pvp players of other factions unless you are in the battlegrounds or are in one of their areas. You have to be pvp flagged in order for someone to attack you. I don't dual, so I don't know if you can challenge the other factions to duals or not.

That's interesting! Wow, they are saying now that the servers won't be up until 4pm my time. Came down with a bad cold Sunday, and have taken 3 days off from work without pay to recover. If I'm not careful the colds escalate into bronchitis. Been sleeping alot and drinking hot tea. Chicken soup for lunch. Thanks Jean! Andrea

Toot, wish I'd thought to move my characters...they are all parked in Dal...eek!
Maybe I'll just not sign on for a week to let the first heavy laggy use get over with.
I'm definitely making a Worgen...maybe rogue? Not sure......
Andrea, feel better soon.

Andrea, I hope you're feeling better soon! Rest as much as you can.
Sitting on pins and needles here waiting for the servers to come up. I don't think I could not sign on for a week looney, lol. But I'm going to take my time getting my toons squared away and hopefully not drive myself crazy.
Edited to say the realms are coming back online. Draka is up. Sisters isn't. I'm checking my realms. Hope they're all up soon.

So how are you all doing with the new patch? Some things have gone well, other things are a mess. Luckily things didn't change much for my healers, but things like healbot have not been updated yet so I've had to download and use other mods.
Tanks are having a problem with aggro since they've changed so much around with them. I healed several instances without a glitch, but the harder ones, the ICC ones, have been a pain with tank aggro. Someone was reading on one of the sites that Blizz is going to be tweaking things because of the high dps and aggro issues.
We tried to do ICC last night but the servers were so unstable that we didn't get past Lady Deathwhisper as everyone kept dcing.
It's going to take quite a while, I think, for all the issues to get ironed out. I tried to log on now and the message is that because of an unforeseen technical issue the realms are down and they can't give an estimate of when they'll be up.

So far the only addons I got to work are Deadly Boss Mods, Omen and Recount. I noticed this evening that Healbot finally came up with an update, but I already downed another healing mod called VudHo that I've spent considerable time setting up today with a guildie's help, so I may not go back to Healbot.
Gearscore isn't working right, neither is Auctioneer. I don't know if AtlasLoot is yet because I haven't tried enabling it. Sigh.
Dunno if any of you raid but there is a new raid type setup, instead of the ones you used to see on the left side. I'll use it in raids on my non healing toons I guess, but it's kind of clunky (meaning large).
Lindy I was in a group too and remember a warlock pet pulling aggro. He kind of ran around on his own I think. I have a lock that I haven't done much with since the patch, but I did notice the imp had some new abilities.
Well, it's a nightmare, that's for sure. Everyone is crying about it. Why did they have to change absolutely everything?

I don't think I'm going to do anything except check mail for a week or so. I'm sure everything is broken. It's going to be like learning whole new characters.
Son hopped on to "play for a sec" and then hopped right back off when he saw how drastic all the changes were.
