Thanks Lindy and Looney. I hope they update Auctioneer soon. What is Bartender? Maybe I'll check it out.

I must say I miss GearScore! I hate to think of the next 2 months of confusion and then another huge upheval. My computer is having problems with all sorts of wierd crazy things and seems like it has a poltergeist in it. I scanned for viruses but came up with nothing. Is everyone enjoying themselves? Andrea PS Feeling better.

It's getting better. I've just been concentrating on 3 of my toons, one spec each, until I feel confident enough to look at their other specs. Luckily the priest, shammie and warlock changes aren't as bad as some of the melee class changes.
It's still tough though. I feel like I'm spinning in circles with all this new stuff. I don't think it was this bad before Burning Crusade or Lich King. I do remember before one of them when Blizz reset everyones talent points at least 4 times, lol. That was bad.

So, how you all doing? Is everyone all set up yet? I think I'm pretty much used to my main specs. It can still be a little bit iffy in instances when the tank hasn't gotten used to his spec yet, but things are getting better. I'm happy that, for my warlock, I don't need to go out and collect all those soulshards anymore! That used to be a real pain. Still getting used to that chakkra spell on priest. One other holy priest I know specced into Lightwell as she said it's changed, but I haven't heard from anyone yet as to if it's worth it. Have any of you heard yet? AND, I finally preordered Cataclysm from Gamestop. I had giftcards from Amazon and got stuff for my daughter, so she gave me cash to order from Gamestop. I just don't want to wait those extra days because of shipping from amazon. lol

Jean, I think I was in on that Quadruple Talent reset. That was back when we first started playing and I had no idea how to talent my hunter. I would call middle son and he would sign on, talent me, and off I'd go.
I spent a couple of hours yesterday figuring out Snow (hunter). I specced her MM/SV for now, but at some point I will change one of those to BM.
We went out to help son with a quest which gave me a chance to slay some monsters in a non-threatening atmosphere. I feel so clueless.
I think it will be much easier to adjust to my "baby" characters.

Hi WoW Boomie Friens! I'm learning slowly all the new stuff. Linda, I am so happy not to have to carry all those shards around, too! Wish Herbalism and othe gatherer type proffessions were easier to do too with all that stuff you have to schlepp around. Takes up so much bag and bank space. L4L, I haven't played my hunter yet. trying to work on my 'younger' toons til I get used to everything. Still having computer problems intermittently. See you all in game! Andrea Edit: Found out tonight my rogue, Bronoreen, has had her lockpicking changed to automatically leveling up 5 points every time she gains a level. No more opening numerous hard-to-reach lock boxes and foot lockers to gain LP levels. When I left the game tonight, her LP talent was at 305.

Ok, so this is not exactly about Cata, but does anyone know the lvl you need to be to do the Halloween quests?
For some reason my lvl 58 can't complete the Put our Fire and Orphenage treat quests. Oh, I can get the quests and all, but when it comes to clicking the Complete Quest, it doesn't work.

So, on Saturday I spent a few hours re-gemming, re-forging, re-talenting (two specs), re-arranging my action bars (two specs), studying Elitist Jerks like crazy, learning new spell gambits/protocols (two specs).
Did my first raid on Sunday and loved it. I was topping the meters and this was before I realized that I hadn't optimized my Mastery reforging. I should be hell on wheels on the next raid.
Warlock highlights:
TWO pets out at once!!!
No moar shard farming!!
Rare window of warlocks being OP! Enjoy it before the inevitable nerf, fellow locks!
Procrastinate NOW!! Don't put it off!!

Misslilo, I don't think there is a level requirement. I know I thought I was bugged for awhile because I couldn't loot a candy bucket more than once, but then discovered it's supposed to be that way. Don't forget to Trick or Treat the innkeepers.
Ray, glad you are making the adjustment quickly. I'm still struggling with it, but don't feel quite as clueless with my mage. Still struggling with my hunter.
The MM Hunter threat at EJ kept referencing Cobra Shot which made me crazy til I realized I won't have that shot til 81.
Lots of fun time to be had. Once I figure out my mage and my hunter, I'll work on their 2nd specs. Then I'll start back on my babies, but I'm sure Cata will have dropped by then. Lol.

Thanks L4L, but it turned out to be a faulty addon, lol The culprit was Datastore_Quests Actually yesterday I went through all 3 continents for the Achievement on Trick & Treat + I also got the 5 Daily Quests in 5 days in a row At the same time I discovered all of Outland and earned that one too, so that was cool, but time consuming, lol. Did anyone here visit Blizzcon?

I'm glad you got that quest thing sorted out! I think they finally fixed the quest where a person would dc when they click on the pumpkin in Scarlet Monestary. It never happened to me, but one fellow had two toons locked out that he didn't get back for a day or so when they rebooted the servers. Do any of you use Gearscore? It hasn't been working right since the patch, even though they updated it. Does anyone know of another mod that works for showing gear? I've never been to Blizzcon. If it were ever close to me I'd consider it, just to see what it's all about.

I'm using GearScore with no problems at all. I have other issues, but that one is fine. Andrea

We've had lots of quirky things happening, and I think that will continue until after they are through pushing all the little patches. The pumpkin is still freezing us. I'd go to Blizzcon in a second if I could...take all the kids and spouses too. Getting the tickets would be the biggest problem. They said at Blizzcon that this year's tickets (20,000) sold out in 2 seconds! We watched the video stream and it was awesome!

The problem I'm having with gear score, is that when I click on other people I don't always get their gearscore, experience, etc, even if we are on the same server. It is hit or miss it seems. I dunno, maybe it's lag.
We've had some really weird lag on our server at time. Sometimes the sound of what you are doing comes many seconds after you do it! It happens mainly in Dalaran, which lag is bad, but also in SW.
And my soundcard does not like Oculus! I'll get a staticy sound from the time I enter until I leave. I finally just started turning my speakers off altogether while in there.

@JeanK If you have other addons, try disabling all but GearScore, then see if it still does it. If not, then you can be sure it's one of the other addons, that breaks it.
