Tol...I hope that I can get the saves to you for a patch. Luckily for me I have an old laptop that has XP on it so I am playing it on that computer and it is running beautifully. BUT I will get those saved games off this computer and send them along.

Thank YOU for all your help and caring...

Jody(I can't find the saved games anywhere, so if anyone has a suggestion as to where they might be, please let me know...thanks!)

And Traveler...wish I had read this earlier as I would have tried that, but since I do have the other computer, I will do it that way. Thanks a bunch for the help suggestion.

Jody

Jody, I'm not surprised you couldn't find the saved games on your computer running Win7. Where they go I have no idea. When I changed the game folder to My Docs, there the saves were in the game folder, all neatly rowed up and visible.

One thing, when you look for the saved games, search for save.1 or savepic.1

It's great you can play it on your laptop!

Gil.

Traveler...thanks for the help. I finally searched for all things that had "save" in them and searched though MANY things and found them. I sent them to Tol. Hope he can open them.

Thanks again...Jody

For those of you who have Win-7 64 bit, were you able to get the game to work properly by installing it in My Documents? I really want this game, but I also want to make sure it works before I purchase it. smile

Venus,

Short answer, yes. I don't know that Program Files(x86) was the problem but it sure seems like it. The game worked beautifully when I put it in My Documents.

I just got a new computer with Windows 7 on it I just downloaded the game I think the one I'm trying to click on to start the game, give me a error that I have incompatible drivers, did anyone have any problems on this, and any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks
Lori

EDIT: Never mind I downloaded the patch and now its seems to be working. One question though does the game start with him falling down a hole? Seems like a weird starting?

Thanks

Hi,
the patch doesn´t reapir anything regarding the Win 7 issues (which are there, unfortunatelly and we are still trying to figure them out), it only translates texts to English.

The game really starts with Olaf falling down smile

Hi guys,

I finally went for it and got this game purchased (thanks to Carla's info on this thread), downloaded, installed, and patched. (Thanks for the English voiceovers and subtitles! It's wonderful when a game maker is so helpful.)

But I noticed my instructions (manual) are not in English...did the patch not include that, or is it operator error? I'm sure I can figure it out (though maybe not), but thought I'd check first before using my few remaining brain cells. wave

l4l,

Trust me, you don't need a manual. This game is a breeze to play. But if you need a walkthrough (you?) MaGtRo wrote a nice one.

Gil.

Hi looney4labs
and thank you for buying our game!
The patch is for the game only, text of the manual is not affected by the patch. But as Traveler already have said, there is probably no need for manual as the controls are standard one- Left click on all actions, right click on additional examination of the hotspot. The game is designed in a way that no crucial action is under right click, so the whole game can be finished just with the left mouse button.

Cheers

The game is superb....Also the puzzles are not as easy as one might think...There are some thinkers....Take it real slow playing..Because you will enjoy every breath taking minute...

Just curious
Click to reveal..
.....there is a black mirror hanging in kruegals place at the end of the game
dont really need a spoiler as it has nothing to do with the game.....just wondering if this is a joke or something related to black mirror games...

I think tol and metamorphium poked it in there just for fun but maybe one of them will tell you. (I'm sure it was a reference to Black Mirror.)

Yes it is a joke refering to the most famous game of Future Games (we have been developing Tale of a Hero for and in them). There are many others references to other aventure games but not only them scattered trough whole game :-)
