I was looking at bestbuys -HP pavillion elite desktop.mod HPE-410 F does anyone have one ? and is it any good for the newer games ? I think that it a good time now to get a new computer.price wise...thanks.

If it's the same model 410F on the Staples web site for $799.00 - it's not a bad deal at all. The HD 5570 video card is roughly the equivalent of an 8600 GTS (or there abouts).

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-410f Desktop PC

You're paying a bit more for the Blu-ray support, but all in all it's not bad for the price.

It should play all but the most demanding games with ease.

While people are chatting about HP (and not to take away from the important info about getting a newer system something I need to do also) can anyone give info about purchasing and installing memory for a HP pavilion 630 desktop? I don't trust those techs at BestBuy too much. I'm not trying to insult anyone.
Thank you.

BubbaJake,
Many places that sell RAM (like Crucial.com) have a "Memory Advisor" that will tell you what type of RAM you need to buy. Just type your model number into the Memory Advisor.

It looks like it uses PC3200; it's hard to say without the exact model number.

Point your browser to the URL below and select the Scan My System button. It will detect and suggest replacement modules for you.

Crucial Memory Advisor™ tool

Once you know the module type you can peruse Newegg to compare prices (Crucial is good memory, but is typically more expensive than most).

Oops - Jenny beat me to it...

That's great anyway Inlandz. Thanks to both of you!

This is exactly why I come here first for important computer information. You hit it right on the head first time, it's DDR PC3200.
That scanner answered all my questions and even showed just how to do the install. Thank you!
