Unable to open the door in room where the black disk is deposited. I get both wall boxes to exhibit purple. I get the two flashe of electricity expected but the only the red vs the green lite flashes. oterwise I have followed the walk thru step by step.
I suspect I might need a patch.

welcome George,

I don't think that this is a glitch. It is a pizzle that is tricky.

Please recheck the entries you did on the pads and
- Face the pads or the number panel - then check the compass to see which one you are facing.
- Remember that west is arrow pointing right and east is arrow pointing left on the compass. luck

George don't forget to check the direction the compass at the bottom of the screen to make sure you are putting the correct numbers in the square boxes.
Remember on the compass if the right side is lit you are facing West and put the number for West in the box. If the Compass is lit on on the left side that is East. Good Luck!

I have completed RHEM 3 several times and well aware of the direcion situation. After doing them correctly, I receive the violet light on the blue box on the left wall and have selected the violet light with the slider on the blue box on the right wall. Having the numbers and pads correctly is the only way to get the two violet lights. But then pushing the red button and observing the two streaks of lightening and watching them hit the two receptacles above the secret door, I observe ONLY the red light blink and never the green lite. I have installed this game on two computers and always get the same result. What else can I do? Saved game maybe??

The saved game is on the way. You can also look at the settings of the lines and numbers to see what is different in my game and yours.

George this may sound like a silly question but did you press the button next to the door to open it? The door does not open automatically when you see the violet lights.

At the beginning to get the correct code to open the six doors, I did NOT move the four black balls for each solution but rather went to the solution in the walk thru. BTW, what is the trick of converting the code at the bottom of the round tower to the actual code for each door.
Also in the picture found in the "solution to round pads" the pads for N and S are correct but for E and W look reversed. Also what is this when the solution says after facing N "turn left and face EAST" "Turn right and face WEST."
Is there anything I may have NOT done correctly prior to entering the room with the pads that may have caused/contributed to my difficulty.

I do want to thank you both for your rapid responses to my posts. It's nice to know that someone cares. LOL George

Click the squares on top of the metal door to copy the position of the gray squares seen at base of the tower control panel after entering the position of the black circles.
Note that the positions of the sets of squares are in different order from that of the control panel code.
If the gray squares are placed correctly, press the rightmost square to open the door.

2. East - West:
As Kai's sister and I have posted above concerning the compass - East is the arrow pointing left and West is the arrow pointing right.

-Did you get the saved game I sent and have you successfully installed it?
Tell me if you have problems.

How do I translate the positions of the sets of squares on the control panel to the proper order on the panel over the applicible door??
"Did you get the saved game I sent and have you successfully installed it?
Tell me if you have problems." NO,and where should I look for it?? Is the saved game sent by E mail or is it somewhere on this forum? I appreciate your patience in getting me over this bump in the road.

Hi George,

MaG would have sent the save file directly to the e-mail address you have listed in the public e-mail box of your profile. Check your spam folder in case it's ended up there.

wave12 Rushes!

George,
- position of squares - If you look at the squares clue at the base of that round tower-structure; note that they are in sets of 2 - 5 squares per set.
Then when you go to the panel above the door note that they are also in sets of 2 - 5 squares per set but in different order of the sets. luck

Well, how clever is that!!! lol duh - me!!
I found the code to the door from the walkthru. I hope I didn't have to figure where all the black balls had to be placed. My E mil address is EDITED in case anyone else has a saved game for me. I have even started the game over one more time to make sure I haven't over looked anything. Btw I really love this forum. Game Boomers has been my favorite site for years.

I took your e-mail out because we have lots of lurkers that can pick it out.

I sent the saved game again. That is the address that I sent the saved game the first time. AOL is known for removing mails with attachment coming from us. Keep us posted.

EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally determined what I was doing wrong. I interpreted from the printed solution that the cabinet FACING the NORTH was to contain the number 19. Then of course I did the same for all the other cabinets. Then when all else failed (lol) I said could it possibly be and YES I reversed all the numbers and WOW I finally got to view that elusive green lite for the door. Thanks for all your help. I enjoyed RHEM 3 so much and was so glad when Rhem 4 came out and NOW I can GET ON WITH THE GAME after my short delay.

bravo12 Keep on checking the compass at the bottom.
When it points up it is north.
Pointing left is east.
Pointing right is west.
Pointing down is south.

Have fun.

Just to let you know that I finally finished this great game. And many thanks for the walkthru. Even then it still took me 20 hours of actual playing time. Talk about getting your money's worth.
Shivers by Sierra and Batman are a couple of my other favorite adventure games.

I can't believe this is happening to me. Playing a second time I have arrived to where I have entered the codes for the N, E, & S doors successfully. But for the life of me I can not get the underground passage door to open. The stickman is positioned correctly "arms straight and knees apart and bent." I have entered the code for the W door and nothing happens when I push the button. The E -W passage remains closed.

There is another stickman on the other side of that door - double check that you had that set correctly. Keep us posted.

You are so correct. I had gotten ahead of myself. Then I started to think how did I get the code for that W door. I quick peek at the WT and I had the answer. Thanks

OK, now I have just picked up the red ball by counting to 14. Selected a random number, 26, put in 13 - 13 and have counted several times the number of stones dropped before getting the flashing red light on back left panel. Set in that number, push in the green button and nothing.
I am unable to get fragment No. 6. I don't recall any problem here my first time through.
