I've only played a wee bit of the demo so far, but first impressions are wow! Beautiful graphics, and it seems very polished. There's an interesting twist in that if you don't want to play a hidden object screen you can choose to play a match-3 game instead. I will be buying this.

Developers are Codeminion, creators of Ancient Quest of Saqqarah and Brunhilda and the Dark Crystal.

There are some voiceovers in the game as well!

Three levels of difficulty to choose from and there are also trophies to acquire. wave

I was so lucky to be one of the closed beta testers for this game. It is a great game. The characters, voice, graphics this game has it all. Thank you Codeminion for listening and incorporating our suggestions. Your game is beautiful and will give us game players hours of enjoyment.

I played about half an hour of the demo and found it to be another gloomy game replete with crawly things and dead fish. It reminds me of a B movie where you holler at the screen, "Don't go in there!" as if it will do any good. You don't talk, the characters just read your mind (this being first person), and you can't get anything more out of them than what they tell you though they'll repeat what they said if you didn't get it the first time. I guess if you don't like dialogue (preferably witty) or interaction, this is the game for you. I'm afraid I'll pass.

Gil.

@amarisse,
Glad to hear you are enjoying the game. I've played it many times because I was in the closed Beta, but I still enjoy playing it. I have much of it memorized by now.

Are you still having trouble trying to find something? I'd be glad to help you out if I understood your question better.

WHOO HOO if you want a spooky game with beautiful graphics, Fantastic Voices, Interesting storyline this is the game for you! I bought the collectible and it may be the greatest collectible yet in my opinion. The Characters are so interesting thus far especially old lady in hotel.

For those who are like me and are so weary and groan when I see a hidden object screen with random objects, GOOD NEWS ! You have a choice whether to find hidden object or match 3 game that removes objects. This game is so much fun, hoping everyone will give it a chance and at least try the demo.

I had no problem with install or saving. This game company seems to do everything right when they release the games. Congrats again to the Game Co. and BFG that knows how to pick a winner. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I love the game Marian, if I had the tiniest complaint it would be I would have liked less HOG and or match3 games since you can choose which one you want. However the game is so great I really don't mind it. The storyline keeps getting better.

One thing someone please tell me how do I find the stragedy guide? Do you mean hints?

The strategy guide can be found in the top lefthand corner while you are playing. It doesn't work in the demo, though. wave

I finally finished this great game. I'm sure it will always be one of my favorites. I played with rarely having to go to the guide. I love these creepy games and I would put this one high on the list. Even the music and sound effects were good. I'd like to see lots more of this quality. Teddo

Just started this great game. Loving every minute. Ditto all the wonderful things that have been said so far.I especially love the small touches.they really add to the spooky feel of the game. And for some reason I just don't get tired of HO's. I don't understand why people would want a HO game without the HO's. Without them, it is just an adventure game. While I like adventure games as well, HO's are part of the HOG genre.

Thanks Marion I never would have seen the stragedy guide. I love the adventure part after buying every hog in sight my cc card proves it for years,

I just want to explore and love the Interactive parts the best. I have to admit 13 skulls is still my favorite along with Dire. The one thing I miss is mini games that were in 13 skulls many of them all different.

Still playing Phantasmat loving the storyline and character interaction it is my favorite part.

I bought the game yesterday and as soon as I finish Fairing Point will get started on it. wave

Yes, the link to the strategy guide certainly doesn't jump out at you. It gives new meaning to the word "unobtrusive." grin

I am also loving this game!-once i finally got it downloaded(3 tries @ 6+hrs each..did ask BF to let us get these CE's on disks like the other games-i have a slow internet connection-mobile bb modem). Wonderful special weather effects! And sound..very very good graphics. If had to find a minus it is that sometimes the HO's are teensy..very hard to see. Have just played for an hour or so (don't really know how long..just went in/out of the City and had to stop). I have just been so tickled with the great crop of spooky/mysterious games we've been able to get the past couple months--i hope it continues!! It is amazing to me to see the leap in the development of the IHOG's..many have more atmosphere to them then some of the Larger regular Adventure titles i have gotten! Keep up the great work BF!

gamenut, the reason for not putting it on a CD is not because it is a collectors edition, it has to do with size. If it exceeds the size allowed for putting on the disk, it will not be available as a backup disk.
