Hello all. I have encountered a problem with Black mirror. It just crashes in the middle of dialogue with an AGDS.exe error stopped working message. I find if I click through quickly sometimes i can get through it. I saw that there were a lot of problems with this. I even played as an administrator and started all over again. On the web I found some solutions and tried a few. Downloaded some replacement files and renamed some others. It keeps crashing anyway. Also I managed to get through the most difficult scene, the letter in henry's box. However after that when I go to the Doctors house he is NOT outside throwing stuff away and I cannot move on in the game. I have clicked on and talked to everyone but no scene of dr throwing away garbage. I cant even go talk to him in morgue because it says "He may see me. " I had to replay scenes many times and am now very frustrated. Maybe a "save game" from that point so I can move on? After the opening of Henry's letter? Or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to finish this game. I am now invested in it. Thanks!!

Oh and if someone gives me a save game could you please explain how to get it to my own game. I forget !! Thanks!!

Grr so frustrated! Now I cant find Morris and when i go to the greenhouse the letter is still in the drawer even though I have it in my inventory! I am afraid to read it again and crash . There must be a glitch somewhere. I have tried everything to fix it . I do NOT want to play it over and over again .

My saves for this game aren't labelled, but I'll send you my set and you can have a look at them and use what you need. One of them should put you at the correct spot.

I had the exact same problem. First I bought the downloaded version from Adventure shop, sound crashes, restarted the game about a dozen time and worked through the sound crashes by disabling the sound, leave the game than enabling sound and going back to the game etc. Then I got to the point where dr is supposed to be throwing away garbage same as you and no dr. I also had no footprint by the fountain. So I gave up and bought the disc and on that one I had a starforce error and was unable to play at all so If you come up with a solution I would love to hear it. Ive tried everything and have given up. Im playing on Vista and that is where my starforce errors are coming from. Good luck and please share if you manage to find a solution.

Using the NoCD should get rid of the StarForce error.

Black Mirror really needs a GOG version that's made to work right on Windows 7 and Vista 64-bit. Even without the StarForce problem a lot of people seem to be having problems with it crashing on Vista and Windows 7.

I also downloaded from the adventure shop & have constant crashes in the game caused by a loud static sound noises. I finally finished the game. xp or win 7 had the same problem.

funny thing is everyone person who has complained about the sound issue all downloaded from the adventure shop.

Could I also ask for save games from you & where to put them please? I downloaded from adventure games & have the AGDS problem which they seem unable/unwilling to fix..

Hi, I haven't finished chapter 1 as I can't get thru the conversations with Robert so can't access other areas on map & dr hasn't brought personal belongings... Managed first big conversation with Robert after letter found outside his room but no conversation since, just crashes.

Thank you, I'll have to try downloading some. I also can't find where the save games are on my computer, have looked in all obvious places other games put saves.... Is there something different about this game, being downloaded from adventure games & not original cd?

The place where the saves are kept depends on the OS of your computer.
In XP, they should be in the installed saved game folder.
I don't know where Vista or Win7 keeps them.
Best to do a search and see.

I have decided I will no longer be buying downloads from adventureshop - I bought a game there myself and it also kept crashing and they were not very helpful - just tried to pin it on the game developer and would not refund me the money as said I had activated it- I had to activate it to know it would not play!! well to stick to the topic in this thread, I played black mirror 2 but not from an advetureshop download and it played fine (the game I bought from adventureshop was a different one, but I keep reading these comments about their downloads and never have trouble with other download sites games).

I received an email from the adventure shop & they have replaced the black mirror download files due to now several people complaining of the sound issues.

So if anyone has downloaded from them you should get an email. I purchased from them 10 months ago.
