When I first entered the control panel opened and I got to look at it for a mintue and then it closed, I cant get it open and have no idea what happened, I consulted 2 walkthrus but no help. There are 4 buttons at the bottom of the panel but whenever I press them they just give me those wierd sounds.

Any ideas what I need to do?

After you opened the control panel, see the layout of the turbines.

This is from the GB walkthrough:

Test: Press the button at bottom of panel. A test has to be passed before controls are given to Mina.

Press the button that the voice states.
The test is to know if you understand the alien language that you learned from the pipes puzzle outside the door.

After you correctly finish the test above:

Press the button again to open the settings. There is an imbalance on the processes involved.

Try one of the levers and be told that there is insufficient power.

There is a block on the water path. Then clear the path of the gas by placing in it an object of appropriate diameter.

That is one of the walkthrus I looked at but there are 4 buttons and it dosent seem to matter which one I press.

Listen carefully to what is said. It is supposed to be an alien language but since you now know the alien language - you will understand it.

If I remember correctly, the test is answerable by numbers. It says a number and you click on the correct button - from left to right 1-4.

gamer , i think it closed by itself whenever i left it. i also remember i had to work the door with the symbol on it first, then open the panel.you will see a window sort of thing to the left of the door ,where a level rises or goes down. this part drove me a little crazy ,but i hope this helps. good luck !

I guess the problem is that I DONT know the language and Im not sure how I learn it. Its just gibberish to me.

You learn the language by doing the language machine-pipes puzzle correctly.

Most of my saves are unlabeled. Only 10 major puzzles are. If you want I'll send you a group and you can check what they are.

hmmmmm,I thought I did the puzzle correctly as the gate opened, but maybe I missed something.

Ill play with it more and see if I can figure out what I did wrong.At least now I know that I need to learn the language thanks for the offer of the saves if I get desperate I may take you up on it.

To open the gate and enter, the wall should have Mina and Jep's memories in an ovoid hanging there. The gate only allows those that has an imprinted ovoid through.

I had one of the cones in the wrong slot and after about 1/2 hour of messing around I got it! Yay!

But now of course, since Im so close to the end I have nothing but trouble. I cant get the device with the colored fogs to accept the bottom glass bottle. Ive tried every which way
with the 2 bottles I made and also made sure the bottle that go's on the bottom has the chemical mix in it but it wont except it. Any ideas?

Later today when I have a more timeI will go back and mess around with it and you know sometimes when you walk away for awhile and go back it all comes together but if any of you think of anything I might need to do Im ready for suggestion.

yes I did MaG, so now its back to just trial and error for now but dont think Ill be able to get back to the games for a few days. Have alot of stuff going on.

It should not be trial and error since each of those colored glasses has a specific position. Check the picture.
