Keep watching - they may offer it again. I've had that happen more than once.

Subscribe to their mail list. You will get something every day. You could also go and check the manufacturers website, if the rebate was through them, not Newegg.

Hi. Thanks. I have been on their mailing list since last year. I thought about checking with the manufacturer bit haven't as of yet.
I hate doing things like that. I need to learn to stick with one thing until I am finished with it.
I had also come across a card with a similar number as the Zotac, maybe it was a 210, can't remember, but haven't done a comparison yet.
Be well.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy the card. Doesn't seem like anyone has it on sale or with rebate now. I hate I missed that at NewEgg, I could have bought a game with that $20.00. LOL
I do have a question though. Are all GeForce 220 cards created equal?
Terri thanks

The Geforce 220 chips used in the cards should be essentially equal. But you may notice different heatsink/fan assemblies for different cards, and they may come with different drivers. Some cards may have more video RAM. According to ***gpureview*** a Geforce 220 GT may come with either 512 or 1024 MB of video RAM. And there may be other differences between brands, but the overall capabilities of Geforce 220 cards should be similar.

Hi Jenny. I sent you an email this weekend in hopes that you might answer my questions. I'm pretty certain that you understood it but I guess you didn't want to answer. Sorry that I bothered you! My apologies.

Please do not email me.
I often forget to check my email.
I did not see your post.
I'm much more apt to see a PM or a post in the forum.
Besides which there are forum members who know more about which video cards are best for certain games than I do, so you'll get better advice if you post in the forum.

I just answered your email. I don't know the answer to your question about voltages and video cards.

Hi Jenny100. I can only apologize so many times. I so hate that I infringed on your private time, it shan't happen again. Again I apologize for the interruption.
Thank you so much for your reply to my questions.

I'm not asking you to apologize. That was your idea.
I'm just telling you you're more apt to reach me by PM or by posting in the Gameboomers forums.

Maybe instead of saying "don't email me" I should say "Don't email me without notifying me that you've done so in the forum or by PM."

InlandAZ. I have not yet ordered the graphics card, so needed to ask you something else. The card is rated very well and it certainly looks good to me but if I wanted to add a few dollars more can you recommend something or do you think I should just get the Zotac 20203-10L? I think Amazon has it for $67.00. I don't want to put a lot of money in this pc (HP p6115y) but don't want to have to buy another anytime soon either. Thank you so much for your help

I can't think of anything else you need to add at this point - you've got 8 Gigs of RAM and a fairly large hard drive.

Once you get the video card installed, you'll see a pretty good performance boost for gaming.

Hi Fellow Boomers. Thanks! InlandAZ, what I was asking was is there another graphics card that might be better for a little more money. Also, why do some of them say GT 220 Synergy, is that a different card than the 20203-10L?

I think it's odd that I had no problems what so ever running Gray Matter, it ran perfectly, then last time I played Sam moved so slowly. I had d/loaded something earlier in the day and uninstalled it thinking that was the problem. I don't know if it was, haven't played it since. That's it. gotta run.
Thanks, wave
Terri

Hi. I need a quick answer, ordering from Amazon today. It says Synergy Edition for the Zotac 20203-10L GT 220 at Amazon. I don't think that's what the one at NewEgg said. It is no longer available there. Could someone tell me if there is a difference?
Thanks so much! happydance

***This at Newegg*** and ***this at Amazon*** appear to be the same card to me. If you zoom into the picture of the box at Newegg it says Synergy on it.

Or were you talking about a different Zotac at Newegg?

Specs for the Zotac 20203-10L GT 220 are at the ***Zotac website***

Thanks Jenny. I promise it was not available yesterday at NewEgg and it might not be reordered. I've been busy shopping at Amazon for hours, now I will place my order. Thank you so much!

Good luck with your card.
Newegg gets new stock in every day, so I don't doubt it was out of stock when you looked.

I have no doubt they get new stock in every day but I would have thought since they stated that it might not be available again, it would be some time before it was offered, if at all.
I will post again later after receiving the card for instructions. Thanks GB's!

Hi Jenny. My graphics card should be delivered today, I can hardly wait. I have a curiosity question for you. I ran Gray Matter without a problem and had ND Waverly Academy, Agon The Lost Sword, House MD., Return to Mysterious Island 2, Overclocked and some casual games on the pc. When I downloaded Black Mirror III, I uninstalled Overclocked but left the other games and I have had some problems running it. What is the reason for this? I think Overclocked was a pretty big file and I want to understand this.
Thanks,
Terri think

As long as you have plenty of free space on the drive where you install your games, I don't think uninstalling Overclocked would have any effect on how well Black Mirror III would run.

If Black Mirror III is not running well for you while Gray Matter ran fine, I think the problem must be due to incompatible video drivers. I don't know whether newer drivers or older drivers would be better. But if your video card is good enough to play Gray Matter, it is certainly good enough to play Black Mirror III.

This is all so complicated and I do try to keep everything up to date. I have noticed that every now and then I get a message that Nvidia ??? has stopped working. I know for a while it was the older driver but will have to look back at my notes on this last one. Oops, it was 266.58 that was not working, last time it was 270.61. What causes this?

I don't know for sure what's causing the error, but it's just as well you're getting a new card. There might be something wrong with the old one that's causing these errors.
