If you haven't tried Hobby Farm released on May 11, I recommend it as a fun time management game. You need to use the timer for the first 5 rounds then you can change to relaxed. There are 50 levels, with lots of animals, plants and machinery to buy and keep you busy plotting your farm, which isn't really big.

It's does not get boring, I am almost finshed and plan on restarting to make it look better. My first time around is very messy.

I really like this game too, Flo. It reminds me of My Farm Life, Ranch Rush, and Farm Craft. I love the farming time management games. I also like Farm Mania 2, which has a relaxed mode.

I am in the last week of Ranch Rush right now and my farm looks like a train wreck. grin

Hobby Farm is definitely on my list of games to use a credit/coupon on. wave

I'll check out Farm mania 2 seeing as how it has a relaxed mode. I don't mind Time Management games if there isn't any time management smile

Fantastic Farm has a relaxed mode, too. Actually quite a few TM games are offering relaxed mode now; I find that's happening more and more with these games. There are quite a few on Big Fish with a casual/relaxed option. smile

Yes, I noticed that. I checked them all out last night and what I also noticed was that Hobby Farm was the most realistic of them all, even down to the grass. It's a great game. I'm sad it's over, but will play agin slower and more creatively.

Glad you enjoyed the game so much. I'm going to be using a punch card credit on it this week. It is indeed fun to replay a game like this and see if you can organize and arrange things better. smile

You guys got me hooked on this kind of farm game. Played and finished Hobby Farm 3 times. (John reminds me of my hubby when he's in the hammock and Jill is running around in a frantic state.) wink
Now I am checking all the games Marian posted.

I just bought Ranch Rush. laugh.

Great, we have another convert. The last time I playe I left John in the hammock and went about my own business, he just messes up my garden, so I was able to keep it neat and tidy.

Playing My Farm Life nw, it's basically the same premise as Hobby Farm, but it has a timer, even tho it says casual, there is still that dreaded timer. The graphics are different, but not bad. However, when the bad guys come around, there are 5 times as many as with Hobby Farm and you need to focus on them for the whole time they are there.

Certainly worth a look at.

PS another one I am playing which is different in the mechanics and layout is Farmer's Market, more than 50 levels and it is challenging to make sure you handle everyone. It doesn't have a timer, it's just for rewards I think. I think you have the option of relaxed or timed. It's different but worth a try.

Oh, MaG, this is so cool!! Welcome to the TM-farming-game fold!! grin

Ranch Rush is a blast! I just finished it the other day. smile I will be moving on to Ranch Rush 2 pretty soon.

I'm now on level 17 of My Farm Life and boy is it addictive! The timer is pretty unforgiving, too, but it's so much fun and I don't mind having to replay episodes over. Whether or not I ever see the end of it, though, is greatly in doubt. Fifty levels on casual mode (which is indeed timed, as Flo pointed out) and fifty levels on expert. I don't even want to know how difficult expert is. laugh

Flo, I like Farmer's Market too. smile

I do the ones with the timers. lol
It took me forever to get through (over and over) Hobby Farm. Then the 2 replays went smoothly. I didn't try to win the gold stars. If I have time, I fill up all machines with items to be ready for the next level. I enjoyed that game. Thanks for the recommendation.

Ranch Rush is simpler but still not much time to clear the farm for the next level. I do not like doing the bees. I get the heebie jeebies doing them.

I like the TM games with the timers too. laugh

With Ranch Rush, by the time I got to the weekly Farmer's Market level, I usually spent the entire time cleaning up my farm and getting it ready for the next week; by then, everything was in such a state of disarray that I had to opt for clean-up rather than cold hard cash!

And yes, the bees made me nervous too.

You need to try My Farm Life next, MaG. There are a few interesting new twists to keep things ever more harried and frantic. wink

lol Same here - I don't do the farmer's market day. I plant or stock up.

Ah - My Farm Life. I will finish Ranch Rush and then replay to see if I can do better - then I'll check that game. Thanks for the recommendation. smile

Let me know how it goes with Ranch Rush, MaG. happydance

You might want to reconsider playing My Farm Life; I had to take a break because I'm getting a stiff neck from all the stress and excitement. lol

I am at end of week 7 I think (second to last week) and have replayed it 3 times already. Ugh.
I need a rest now. That jam making is the one that's holding me up.I usually have 1 or 2 to do and I run out of time.

lol - I'll keep your stiff neck in mind. laugh

I was on level 46 of My Farm Life and had to start over. I had to make sure I had 4 cows and 8 geese before I got back there. It was murder with only 4 geese. In fact it was impossible, and this was on casual.

PS I just might get another 2 cows, because milk is used a lot, so at least 6 cows because they are slow.

rah FINISHED!!!!!!!

Congratulations on getting to level 46. bravo I'm only at about level 25 or so, and being as I have given lots of money to the night trader, I now don't have enough money to buy a dog. I'm either going to have to sell off stuff I don't need or go back a few levels and try to do better before I can proceed. This is a very challenging game!

I can't begin to imagine what expert mode is like. eek

Since I played this Hobby Farm 3 times and it's my FIRST complete Time Management game - it will be in my memory. It was great fun.

Have fun, Flo.

Marian,

I at one play did not buy a dog until the next level.

I played Ranch Rush 1 and enjoyed it except for the very last level. Tried it 5 -6 times with strategies and all - I can not defeat the time. I usually have 1 or 2 items not completed. frown

I am playing and enjoying Ranch Rush 2. I am on week 8 Thursday as of late last night.

I find that last level of Ranch Rush close to impossible too, MaG. Ideally you need to make sure that your machines are stocked up at the end of the prior level to give you a head start when the last level begins, but that's almost impossible to pull off. I kept hoping the game would take pity on me and that there would be a surprise Farmer's Market on Thursday. grin

Is the difficulty about the same in Ranch Rush 2? It sounds like you have been doing some marathon gaming. bravo

It takes me quite a while to get through games like this, not only because of the difficulty but also because I find myself needing to take frequent breaks in order to decompress. wink

I'll remember that about the dog. thumbsup

Ranch Rush 2 is easier than 1. I always have time left to fill up my machines and plant - usually. lol I also do not do farmers market on Saturdays. I fill things, look around, move things. It's fun.

If you want to continue foraging in the higher levels, I would have at least 4 dogs, one for each corner, I'm now thinking of getting 5.

lol I had one good dog and one that just sits there and let the thieves pass. You can see the circle range of where the dog can patrol.

Finished Ranch Rush 2. yay Those storage racks sure helped.
