I am at the point in the gamne where Adam has just found the rope so he can get past the guard. However, he now must jump over an opening to a wall, but he will not jump in this direction. I have no problem jumping in the 3 other directions but will not jump to the north. Is there any way to correct this problem?

You have to do a run first and time the jump over the hole on the floor.

I have tried that many times but he will not do a running jump in that direction.

Just to be sure - you are running straight ahead towards the hole on the floor (not the entrance you came in on).

Yes I am trying to jump over the hole in the floor. At no point in the game can I do a running jump in that direction. I assume this must be a glitch in the program.

I just discovered I could run jump using the W key. It will not work using the arrow key. Thanks MaG for all the help.
