I'm at the Blue Iquana. I entered the new message on the recorder and called the bartender but I'm unable to make the new message work over the phone. Need a hint.

Thanks Tomco

Hi Tomco,

You've hit a game glitch, there's no way around it at present other than to use the saves from someone else. Billy is working on a patch for the problem.

Would you like me to send you my full set of saves? (Individual saves don't work for this game.)

I just uploaded a new patch 2.7 that may fix this issue (I am unable to recreate this issue on any of my test machines - so it's hard to fix)

Also Raven puzzle should be faster (even with Antivirus software Real-time scanning on) - however you may want to turn real-time scanning off anyway to speed up performance

Enjoy!

New patch for recorder worked--Thanks.

I'm in the office at the Blue Iguana trying to open the safe. The combination I picked up in the bar has 5 digits and the safe has 4 places for numbers. Need small hint.

Thanks---Tomco

The buttons on the safe aren't numbered. Use them sequentially. wink

Hi Rushes---I'm missing something. The combo is 31242. I entered 31242 in that order and nothing happens. Do I have to reset after each try.

That's odd -- you should see a short cut scene of the safe door opening. I think that simply backing out of close-up should reset the safe. Or replay the scene from an earlier save?

Hi Rushes--you were correct-- I went to a past save and replayed the game. Everything is okay for now. Thanks for the help.

Game froze--I'm now back into it. Where is the phone box in the sewer? This is the 2nd game this week that uses sewers. Alter Ego had a lot of sewers and tunnels.

The phone box is in a tunnel leading off to the right, near the ladder (I think). Make sure to press Tab to reveal all your exit points, so you don't miss any. luck

I have completed the mine area and I'm trying to find the Temple Entrance with the red symbols on the stones. Tomco

After exiting the mine area, look for the exit to your left. Remember that the Tab key reveals all available exits, it'll help you here, there aren't so many places you can go after the mine.

Hi Rushes--Found the temple entrance and unlocked the door--Thanks. I'm now looking at the light puzzle and it's a killer. After checking the WT,I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Every 3rd light can be activated by a single click which will light up the red lights. No matter how many 3rd lights I activate it appears that I'm going nowhere. Need huge HINT.

Thanks--Tomco

Third light? The light puzzle is a memory puzzle -- it begins with one light, which you click on to repeat. It adds a light to the sequence. You repeat the sequence. It adds another. You repeat the sequence in its entirety. And so on. Eventually you should complete the long sequence without any errors, to be successful. luck

Just to add a little to Rushes answer, tomco, the red lights mean you've goofed and have to start over.

The first time you get a sequence of three lights to repeat. Say it's 1, 4, 7. You repeat 1, 4, 7. Then the next sequence starts.

As I recall, you have to do it 7 times, with a light being added each time and sometimes the same light will flash more than once.

Hope that helps,

Gil.

Hi Rushes & Traveler--Who says you can't teach an old old dog new tricks??. Without the support of Gameboomers and people like yourselves, my head and computer room walls would have more dents in them than they already have. I'm moving on to the next section. Thanks again--Tomco

Some more help on the lights puzzle that I discovered on my 2nd time through the game:

Every time a new sequence starts, the previous sequence always follows the first light in the new sequence. As in traveler's example of 1,4,7, if the next sequence starts with 2 the new sequence will always be 2,1,4,7. Every new sequence only adds one new number to the start of the previous sequence.

Brilliant, Uncle Reg! Kudos to you for noticing that! I've updated the walkthrough to add that very useful info.

Gil.

Hello.

I'm at the Tower and trying to set the track coordinates.

Turning the dial to = and the number is 832

Turning the dial to A and the number is 292

Substarcting 292 from 832 and getting 540.

Turning the dial to C and the number is 322.

And this is when I get stuck. woozy

I need a big push. lol

Thanks.

Hi Chief,

Here's what traveler's walkthrough says:

Turn the dial to =. Write down the number beside it.

Turn the dial to A. Subtract this number from the first one.

Go past B, which is empty.

Turn the dial to C. Subtract that number from the total of = minus A.

Turn the dial to B. Enter the total of = minus A minus C.

A light will come on. Repeat the procedure twice more. Your track coordinates are set.

luck

Rushes, I'm stuck trying to understand what "from the total of = minus A" means.

And also what "Enter the total of = minus A minus C" means.

Thanks for additional help.
