Hiding Under a Rock
I have older laptop that is used for adventure gaming & Bigfish games..email/surfing. Don't use Powerpoint or MS office-or even MSworks. Can I remove those by going to the Control Panel and uninstalling Or are they a part of this Vista Home system and you shouldn't try to remove? Just want to get rid of stuff on laptop i don't use.(and not too smart about how to do it or if i should).

They're not part of Vista.

You may have "trials" of the Microsoft Office programs you mention. If you don't plan on buying the full versions, uninstall away happily! As Jenny says they are not part of Vista. Just be sure to uninstall rather than delete.
