I read all of the great reviews and decided to try the demo. Of course, I am already stuck! I am in the hotel room and trying to use the remote (with batteries in it) on the TV. It won't let me but when I click on the TV alone, I get the interact prompt. I also have something that looks like a dvd and I tried that with no success.

gatsbygirl, did you turn the remote on in closeup? Did you notice the scorch mark on top of the TV? (Well, scorch mark, ring, whatever.) The TV overheats. You need to fill the ice bucket and use it on the TV.

If you're talking about the little icon that looks like a DVD in your inventory, it's just informational. It's telling you that you'll be using the booklet and the game disk later (after the demo) when you play.

Gil.

Gil,

I was trying to fill the ice bucket and got to the puzzle on the machine. I looked at it and thought, what am I supposed to do here? I am terrible with puzzles so I decided to check and see if MaG had done a walkthrough and, lo and behold, you did one! I am printing it now. Looks like a good one. Thank you! Have about three games going at once but I am really liking this demo. I am hoping that there is a download for it so I won't lose my progress.

gatsbygirl,

I don't think you can get any of billy's games by download. Could be wrong, natch. He gets games to you fast, though. Must be kin to Dave of Interact. <g>

The ice machine puzzle is the kind I am awful at...well, most puzzles are...but this one seems to be very forgiving. Maybe I'm wrong but the several times I played this it seemed as if whenever I got even close to linking up those electrical connections the green light came on. Anyway, just keep at it. If I can do it, you certainly can!

Gil.

I did it with help from your walkthrough! I am going to check into buying the game. I think that you are the one who recommended Tomb od Zajir to me, even if I don't like 1st person games. I looked at the video and it does look really good. Just hate the dizziness factor with most 1st person games.

The first 3 LHOD are available for download but not the last one. You can check here.

Thanks, Gil.

Just ordered Society of The Serpent Moon! Now I have to finish Puritas Cordis and ND Captive Curse as well as the games I am playing on my Nookcolor and the books I am reading. Too many thing I like to do and not enough time but life is good :-)

Gil,

"I absolutely, positively guarantee that you won't get any dizzier than you already are." Do you think I am dizzy smile May I hold you to that? No,I am sure that I will like it, if I order it. Screen shots were great. The demo I played of Serpent Moon was very atmospheric. Love games like this!!!

Just kidding, gatsbygirl! wink So, Zojir next! After all the other stuff, that is.

Billy does know how to create atmosphere, I agree with you. And for some reason, I never seem to get stuck for long in one of his games. If I look around and find the things that I need to advance, just like in ZGI or Lost Horizon, things just...well, flow. It may not be everyone's experience but it's mine and I really appreciate a game that plays out that way.

Oh, btw, remember that you have the option to let one of the tougher puzzles in Serpent Moon (I'm thinking of Raven's Hunt, which really isn't all that bad played on Easy) solve itself if you leave the computer strictly alone for @ 45 minutes.

Gil.
