Yeah, Mad, I love the first two, too (pardon my stutter). They're fun to replay (oooo...good idea for a topic..."What games do you keep installed to replay?"). You know, with that franchise's "Searcher of New Worlds" premise, they could crank out 10 more of these, and I'd buy 'em all, but, with their fun, easy, and good-looking ship travel, I think it'd be cool if they made some games that play like this, but have a different storyline, like "The 9th Voyage of Sinbad" or a fictionalized version of Magellan's circumnavigation of the world, just to give you an idea of what I mean. Gee, that's another good topic idea..."What game would you make, if you could?" For me, I'd go with "Fafrd and The Grey Mouser." Not gonna explain that, but it'd be based on these fine sword-and-sorcery stories.

The only games I keep installed for replay are my ancient DOS ones (on my old machine) and they are mostly Adventures But I do install and replay many of the more modern games in my collection on my XP machine. Some RPGs included If I chose an action type game to "make" it would have to be based on a great story. "The Thirty Nine Steps" would probably convert well

Sig, if you have Windows 7, have you tried all the suggestions here ? It's a shame that you can't get the game to install/run. A third King's Bounty game is great news. | | |

Thanks, Marian, but I'm still running XP, so that topic doesn't apply to me, and I don't even have the game anymore--gave it away when I couldn't get it to install on the new PC, but it seemed like I tried everything back then. That's why I figure my only hope is for a site like GOG to come out with it as a download that's compatible with the newer OSes, and with the newer PCs that have things like multiple-core processors. I even submitted that suggestion to GOG some time ago (cuz I really do think it would sell well), but that's only one person's suggestion, and there might be some difficulty obtaining the rights to the game that I don't know about--although I'm pretty sure the great people who made Wizardry 8 would want a new generation of gamers to be able to play it. Let's hear it for Sir-tech!
