Once you cross the frozen lake & step into the graveyard, Esher is supposed to appear, telling you about the tombs. Then you try drawing the keep symbol on your slate that the Bahro will accept.

When I crossed the graveyard, Esher didn't appear. And the Bahro didn't accept my keep symbol (yes, I know they're finicky & that I'll probably have to draw it millions of times).

My question is: Is Esher appearing required before the Bahro will accept a keep drawing, or can I just ignore the fact that he didn't appear & keep drawing the keep? Or do I have to go back to a saved game & cross over the frozen lake?

I'm not sure about Esher appearing. If this is the symbol I think it is, I know I made the mistake of drawing the rectangles over one another -- you should not pass over the same line twice when drawing the symbols.

Does this make sense, or am I just making things worse?

Becky. I got held up with my post and just now pressed "submit".

I do recall Esher speaking there, but I unfortunately cannot say whether or not it's necessary for him to appear before you can go the the keep.

However, my guess would be that it isn't. I believe you can sketch the keep symbol right in the beginning of the age, without doing anything at all.

About Esher appearing - try walking all over that part there, maybe you missed some "hot area" which causes him to appear?
