Rowan, I know exactly how you feel, it took me many, many tries before I made it. My only advice is to try to get as far up the log as possible, aim progressively more to the right and keep trying and trying. The good news is that it does work

Well, I tried to make my own mod to marry Jorn. Alas, it was not meant to be. The marriage dialogue worked fine, we made it to the church and had the ceremony and everything. Unfortunately he just won't live in my house with me. He just stands around in the courtyard of the bard's college all day and plays his drum. Doesn't even sleep. It's not healthy, I told him. He tells me he'll see me at home and proceeds to keep playing his drum. I'm just about ready to give up with it.

AnneG have you tried advancing the time to see if he eventually shows up?

I did. I probably waited a total of three or four days game time. I did it at Honeyside and at the bard's college courtyard to see if he ever actually went anywhere at all. He never seemed to move from that spot.

Anne, he's a musician. They never come home. Always at one gig or another, hanging around some local dive, or worse, on the road with a busload of bad influences and loose women. Just be thankful he doesn't have any groupies hanging about.

AnneG, I think he just has a really bad sense of direction (like me) and is afraid to move for fear he will get lost.

My question is two fold. I have three items in my inventory that I can not store or drop because the message states that they are Quest items. I have completed the three Quest that needed these items. Bard's College Quest-Finn's Lute, Pantea's Flute and Rjorn's Drum. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get them out of my inventory? How do I sell items? I can buy items but I never get the opportunity to sell.

Kazzmo, I don't know how to get rid of finished quest items either. I know they take up weight in my inventory.

To sell an item go to a shopkeeper and select the question about what they have for sale. Then go to the left of the screen where they show the shopkeeper's inventory and your own. Scroll down past your name then you can select items you want to sell out of various groups. In the beginning I made the same error by just not scrolling down enough to see my own items.

Those item are bugged, they stick in your inventory as quest items even when the quests are done

If you are playing on pc, you can use the console to get rid of them after the quests are finished.

player.removeitem 000DABAB 1
Pantea's Flute:
player.removeitem 000DABA7 1
Bjorn's Drum:
player.removeitem 000DABA9 1

I think you are stuck with them if you play on a console.

Kazz, Rown's directions for scrolling down seems to bite a lot of people. It bit me and I was really frustrated!

kazzmo, if you're playing on the PC, there's a mod you can use. It makes any quest item in your inventory able to be dropped or sold.

The inventory thing gets annoying, doesn't it? I'm now at 10/24 of the stones and getting seriously tired of lugging them around. I've got a bow and a flute or a lute and various other bits and bobs that I can't drop, and it's all quite heavy for my poor assassin. At least I have a big strong companion with me now. I wonder what my poor husband what-his-name thinks about that, though.

Speaking of mods, has anyone tried any of them? I was just looking at the merchant mod on the Skyrim network, and it looks pretty interesting. Maybe next time.

You know, I will never get over Morrowind entirely (I miss the architecture), but this Skyrim sure is addictive. I can see me logging an awful lot of time in there. Especially since I retire this month.

Good timing on retirement I love games that have lots of "life" in them.

I've discovered a page with console codes for ending your marriage btw if you'd like to go and find someone else. This can be repeated btw, and I've left Farkas for Erik the Slayer now, but he's way too young for me so I'm hoping to find an older guy with that great Balimund voice who is handsome and has hair! LOL Hopefully a mod for that will come out soon.

hagatha, I'm a mod addict. Bethesda games are great but they wouldn't be quite the same for me without mods.

Of the list that debra posted I'm using...
SkyUI - does make the inventory much nicer to navigate.
Jaysus Swords - I crafted my wonderful Dragonsting Dagger from that mod.
Enhanced Night Sky - I use the Colorful Galaxy version. It's beautiful.
Glowing Ore Veins - It's handy. Makes the ore veins really stand out.
Vurt’s Skyrim Flora Overhaul - Really improves the trees and foliage in Skyrim.

The Creation Kit came out last week so the mods are only going to get better from here on out. I've released two house mods so far and many more planned!

Annie, I know, I'm so bummed! I'm thinking of taking some random npc. A miner or something that doesn't have any quests or anything tied to him and try doing it that way. I can make him look like Jorn if I want to. *lol*
