I'm trying to remember a game I played several years ago. It was a fantasy, point/click game. The only things I remember are a scene of a big old barn/house and there were symbols or constellations on the ceiling. At the end of the game you make your way to an island and are plunged into a brilliant blue whirlpool/well. Does this sound familiar?

Hmm....it vaguely reminds me of Amber:Journeys Beyond, but am not positive. I'm going to go peek at some screenshots here on the net and see if I can find something that rings a bell. EDIT: Okay, just came back from Moby Games (they are my go-to site for screenshots!) and after looking at everything they had, I didn't see anything that resembled this, unfortunately. Sorry about that, Joan and I hope you find the game you're looking for! Tracy, who now has the urge to play Amber Journeys Beyond! I can't believe it's been 16 years since that game came out! Okay, will stop thread-jacking now. lol

YES! Beyond Atlantis! THAT'S IT! I recognize the screenshots. Don't ask me why I got that game stuck in my head but couldn't remember the title. Thanks SuMac! Now I want to play it again.

That's so true, Jenny100 !! I've been shocked many a time to find out a scene or a character someone is describing is one I'm actually very familiar with and yet didn't recognise from their description

Beyond Atlantis was so hard without help - I can see why you called Dreamcatcher and then found this site. It's one of my favorites.

All the Cryo Atlantis Games are listed HERE along with box art - which might help to identify which game is which

I remember those Atlantis games - bits of them anyway. And my favorite 'scene' was when I got to walk on the ceiling looking for specific animals in a specific order - that was so strange yet intriguing to me. Love those games. Must find time to get from GOG and play them again. Thanks for the 'walk down memory lane' Love, Betty Lou

I am now on the island Carbonek and I have just gone through inside a river to get to a cave so I can save the Queen Rhea. So I believe this is the game you were talking about: Atlantis The Lost Tales (Atlantis 1). It is possible you also go through water in the other Atlantis games, but as soon as I read your first post I only thought of the first one. I think the constellations are behind the throne when you are trying to escape the palace on Atlantis. I bought it from Gog and it works without problems on Windows 8. It is so weird to play it in English, I have played it dozens of times in French. My screen is large and it is pixelated, the solution is to move away from the screen. I play from the sofa and it is still as beautiful as I remember. I love the threat of storm with thunder on the island. I think it rains later on too. There was a point when I was younger when I would have given anything to live on Atlantis and the island Carbonek of this game. And I certainly did, albeit only virtually.
