Dar, I played Demon Hunter in the Beta for awhile and really had lots of fun with her.

JeanK, I partied with son with his Witch Doctor today and I kept trying to attack his pets! Those fire spells are awesome though. puppy

edit: I can't find a way to change the font....off to google wave

edit 2: Ok, googled and found lots of folks with the same complaint but no answers.....Perhaps this will be addressed in a future patch.

I keep getting disconnected tonight, so I'll wait until later to try to play. I did discover, though, that changing my screen resolution in options cleared up the font and made everything else more clear. There's no separate option for fonts yet that I can see.

Yea, they are doing lots and lots of server restarts. Apparently, notice of this goes to twitter as well as appearing onscreen.

What did you change your resolution to?

edit: Oh well...there is a down for maintenance notice...will try again tomorrow. wave

I just changed it to what I thought my monitor was. It gives you different options, the way it did in WoW, so you can play with it until you get it looking the way you want it.

I'm playing a warrior. He's has some powerful spells. One thing I don't like about him is he spits. Yuck. At first I thought he was sneezing, but with my headphones on last nite I could hear better.

I too don't like the small font.

I don't like the small font in chat either. These old eyes just give me fits. Better than not seeing anything. woozy

Go to Options -- Video and then change your screen resolution. It will clear it up so you can read the fonts. I'm sure they'll put in the option to change the font size at some point, but for now this works.

edit: If you're getting dcd today with error 3007, when you get into the game enter general chat. That seems to be helping (according to the forums). I haven't dcd since I did it this afternoon.

I'm really enjoying Diablo! I finally killed the skeleton king. I discovered you have to equip your follower and also choose their spells! The instructions flashed on the screen so fast I almost missed them. Maybe it would help if I read the guide. think

How is everyone else doing?

I just discovered that yesterday Jean. I usually play with someone else so have not run in to that until I was tooling around solo yesterday. wave

Lindy I haven't gotten there yet, but son told me he was one-shotted by him. Can you get a follower from town to come help?

I DID IT! I won't say how because I don't know how to do the "spoiler" thing. Yes I had a follower.

If we don't play the public game are we still being charged the monthly fee for D3?

Debra, there isn't a monthly fee for D3.....

WoW has a monthly fee, and if you signed up for the Annual Pass for WoW you got D3 for free....but you'd still be paying the Annual Pass fee because that is for WoW.....confused

OK thanks! I thought I must have missed something 'cause I don't read the TOS when I download games.
GTK, since I may need help with the Skeleton King.
I'm trying on each character type to see which is a better fit for me and I like the monk best so far. I really stink at playing the wizard though lol

Debra, I have a monk and I really like her. I also have a demon hunter who is tons of fun. Hubby is playing a wizard and I'm amazed that often he is still alive after I've managed to kill my demon hunter. His wizard is nowhere near as squishy in D3 as my mage is in WoW. luck

We beat Act II very late last night and will venture forth into Act III once his Australia packing is finished. Son tells me Act III is much harder.

It is but remember, you can have a companion with you...and if u do, remember to equip and train him/her.

Also you can go level a bit more to get new skills if one area is too difficult, or have someone drop in and help (though that will scale up the difficulty).

On a different topic, son told me tonight to turn down the gamma on my computer and in the game and I'd still be able to see and it wouldn't strain my eyes so much. So I'm passing on his advice wave

Darleen, I didn't play the old games but I have seen folks complaining that this one is too easy. Which just goes to show that some people will complain no matter what. I'm enjoying it so much that once I'm tired of it I think I'll go back and play D2. wave
