Does anyone know where the saved game folder is located for Puritas Cordis? I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

**nevermind, I finally found it!**

Typically in Windows 7 saves are placed in a game folder under My Documents. They do that because the Program Files folder does not allow writing to a file in that section. Any save would require changing a file by writing to it.

I believe XP also used My Documents for some games saves but not all.

I do not have the game loaded presently because of the DRM (Tages) Windows 7 regards the version of tages on Secret Files 2 as Malware. You can upgrade the drm to an approved version to install the game at the Tages web site. I am not keen on adding malware to my pc so the game sits on the shelf.

They don't make it easy. I played the game on XP in 2009. I tend to keep my saves. The save folder is not labeled SAVE. The folder is in my documents titled after your user name, such as ME or Fred, Sue or whatever. The saves themselves are named by date. Such as
2009-05-16_14-31_4F1JO.sav an actual title from one of my saves. 14-31 must be the time of day as the saves are ordered by date and time or so it seems.

The last five characters 4F1JO have no similarity to other saves in the list. No sequential order and the letter number configuration is random regarding their use of numbers and letters. Some have numbers where letters appear in other saves.

If you do not find them under my documents/user name you can try doing a search using the extension of the file name [.sav ] without the brackets. .sav should locate all folders with that extension on your computer. Not likely you have tons of .sav files.

Good luck

Thanks, oldmariner.

I still have my saves for this game, on my Windows 7. Here's where they are:

C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\DeepSilver\SecretFiles2 - PuritasCordis\Users\[computer name]
