It did take me several tries to do this puzzle. I used the mouse completely, timing is also necessary. If you position the arrowhead at the correct place and at the correct time; then click on the place you want it to go - you don't need to move it manually. --------- I cannot find my saves for the prison chapter as well as 3 more chapters. Weird. If you want a saved game, let's wait for someone else that has a complete set. ----------- I found the complete set. <whew> The saved game is sent.

Hi abby, I moved your post to your original thread. Please stay with one thread per game, it helps us follow your gameplay. Re. the journalist deduction board, did you double check this: Clicking on the ashtray. You should have clicked on the cigar itself AND the very tip (burning end) of the cigar. That's two different spots. It's really easy to miss clicking on the burning tip. You've just missed examining an item in the room. If it isn't the cigar tip, go back carefully through MaG's walkthrough for what needs to be clicked on/examined.

Here's a screenshot of where that last wad needs to go: Hope that helps.

That's where the hotspot is located. After you placed the wad by the barrel - turn around and go to the road-path at the corner of the menagerie. In that picture by Rushes - the menagerie would be to your left. You will feel exposed to the guard a bit.

Hi Kathy,
It does depend upon the order you're playing the three locations in, as each player's choice may be different and necessitate you replaying a whole other area if you use another's save game. Are you following the walkthrough?
The examination of the dogs is *very* brief -- I think just three clicks on active spots on each dog, and that's it, all over. You can fast-click through explanatory dialogue.

Hi Kathy,
Check the screenshot that I posted on the first page of this thread. That shows where to place the last wad of money. It's just where you exit out into the "danger area" that Holmes warns you about, and a little to the left of that.
