Where is the playing field?
How do you get to it?

Here's some orientation for you about where the playing field is. When you start the game and do the train puzzle, you are in the playing field area.

If you are at base camp, where you can talk to Bess and are facing her, turn around and you will see an archway that says "field" on it. That is how you get to the playing field from the base camp with the tents.

Oh so that whole area is the playing field?

Do you have to keep running the kayak race until you beat the best time?
I have done it three times and cannot beat that time.

That's the one the notes said was the fastest.

I used the red kayak. I noticed someone on the Her forums saying that she had used the yellow kayak and was also able to beat the time with that as well, but yes, I would go with the red kayak.

I finally did it. Go me!!!

But now I'm stuck at the turtle.
I connect the dots to the correct words but nothing happens.
Do you have to connect the dots in a particular way or order?

That kayak challenge isn't easy.

I don't recall connecting the dots in any particular way or order, no - I remember the letter that tripped me up for a few seconds was the letter "G," as I was not making the lines correctly. Take a look at your formed letters and see if any of them could be tweaked in such a way that they look even more like the correct letter - that's the only advice I can think of.

I was doubling on the A to get the cross line.

So what do you do after you get the note?

Well, the note in the turtle's mouth is a riddle. Think about the colors that are mentioned in the note and also take a look at the board on the wall in the room where the turtle is; there are hints in the riddle about a location that you need to visit in the game.

I am really stuck.
I did the turtle quest.
The waterfall quest.
I'm trying to do the gold comic quest but there's nothing
at the mines I can do.
I saw Kiri at the letters.
But I can't click on the letters.
I can't click on anything.
I did get the journal.

I don't know what to do.

Yes I did find the lantern and the key. I used the key at the waterfall.

The only things on my task list are:
Follow the clues in the gold mine comic (which I'm trying to do)

Track down the missing Stage 5 medallion

Complete the cave challenge (I don't even know what that is)

When you were in the caves, did you pick a paper up off the ground that was a note from Sonny to Kiri?

I went back and found it. I was in the wrong cave.

I do have a question about the sudden death tie breaker.
I read the walk through. When it says after tube passes
what does that mean? After tube passes what?
All of the tubes or just the tube you want to close?

I waited until the first tube passed all five tubes and it didn't work.

As you can see, if you wait until one tube passes through the entire screen without planning ahead and opening/closing tubes for the next tube that's coming, this will mess things up, because you are going to need to be opening/closing tubes for the next tube before the first tube has passed all the way across the screen. So, when you read "when the tube passes," it means after the tube has passed whichever funnel(s) you are going to need to open and/or close for the next tube on its way.

It's tricky, because you not only have to think about the tube presently going across the screen but also the next incoming tube and what it is going to be needing as well - and you don't want to open/close funnels too early or too late.

Nothing about this puzzle makes sense to me.

You see disks at right side of the frame.
The disk are colored and have pictures on them.
The aim of the puzzle is to have a tube with similar disks in the same order.

An empty tube passes through a series of disks above it.
You plan which container to open or close to get the disks and the arrangement.

I don't get which ones to open or close.
I tried to follow the walk through and it didn't work.
I can't seem to follow it.
I'll keep trying.
It's personal now. lol.

Finally got past that.

This is the second set at amateur.
- see the tube at right. From bottom to up: red, green, green and blue.



This is the solution:
Close #1.
Press start.
So the tube passes and get the red, green, green and blue from above.

- BUT another tube will pass while this tube collects the above colors.
So you prepare for that while this one goes through.
This one needs from bottom up: red, blue and yellow.

So while working on the previous set, you open/close for this one.
After first tube passes - open #1. Close #5.
This again will drop red, green, green and blue to the next tube.

I loved these 2 puzzles. I thought they are very ingenious.

From walkthrough:
1. Align the stars in the specific symbol areas - holes/lines for the symbols seen in the comics. Turn the small central circle - relic fragment to position the holes/lines to get the stars in/by them. Check Jin's journal above for those holes/lines.
If the stars are to be positioned by the symbols on the middle bar with lines; they should be at the position beside the line as noted on Jin's drawing.
2. Once the stars are aligned; click-hold-turn the outer circle - relic piece to point at the specific zodiac sign seen in the comics.
If done correctly, the pins inside the relic fragment at center pull out.

Take a look at the Jin's note. It has the drawing of the small turning disk of the relic.
See there are holes and lines. Those holes and lines are labeled with a glyph. Those glyphs are the label of stars.
So the puzzle is to place the stars on those holes and lines.
The clue there are all found in the comics that you collected through out the game.

And if I thought that one made no sense the puzzle in the cave (relic puzzle) really makes no sense.

All the symbols look alike to me.
Which rings do you move? And how do you align the signs?
The symbols are too small for me to really see the differences in them.
