The game freezes when Nate is in the desert and talks to the mummy. I can "look" at the mummy, but then nothing. I have tried re-booting my computer and re-loading saved games. Still no luck. Any ideas?

There is a ***thread specifically for Chapter 4*** at Steam forums and you aren't the only one with the mummy bug. Someone reported it on December 18, and someone again on December 20. They were advised to
"Use the savegame from the savegame-thread (after entering the pyramid) to continue playing."
That appears to be Savegame #13 from ***here***.

Hopefully they will eventually fix the bug.
There was an update for Chapter 4 on December 22 but apparently it didn't fix this particular bug.

Well, I'm in Chapter 4. I DID download the save and copied it into the save folder. I restarted the game, but that save does not appear in the "LOAD" list. The problem was to get Ivo to change the rules of the game by using the hammer or the chisel on the "Rules plate" on the wall. After many, many tries I finally did it somehow. I don't understand why that save did not appear in the LOAD list. Did it have a name that I perhaps missed? WHEW!
