Thanks for the review Inferno.
IMO the lack of anything really annoying, like timed sequences, was one of the game's best features. I also enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the occasional moments of humor, like the names of some of Dracula's victims.
The game seems to use an updated, smoothed out version of the 2.5D game engine that was used in
Case of the Silver Earring instead of the 3D engine used by
The Awakening and
Sherlock vs Arsene Lupin. That's why there is no keyboard navigation and everything is point-and-click.
I think it's the first Dracula game I've played where
you vanquish Dracula and he comes right back before the game is over. But the reason for this is explained in the reading material you find at one point in the game. Your intent was not to kill Dracula, but to save Mina.
