I, am, playing The Messenger and I, am, in the Kings Portrait Gallery. I, am, having a problem with the using the signet ring on the H at the bottom of th4e pictures of Louis XI, Francois 1, Charles V111 and Francois 11. My question is do I just use the ring on them or all the pictures in the gallery. I, am, suppose the enter the opened secfret passage that is suppose to be under Marie de Medicis, the last portrait on the right. Nothing happens. Please help. Thank you.

You only use the ring on those four portraits, Rose Marie. Are you hearing a sound every time you use it? (It seems to me that I remember that all of the H symbols aren't standing in an upright position, and that you have to turn them.)

The secret passage is down beneath the picture, but it's in a rather difficult position to see. If you have heard a sound with each portrait it should be there, just move forward and move your cursor around.

Hi there, Rose......Jenny's right of course. You should hear a sound after you use the ring on the H under the four portraits. From the window where you came in (according to Mag's walkthrough: "Louis XI (third), Francois I (fifth), Charles VIII (fourth), Francois II (seventh)."

Did you get the fire tongs?
