Welcome Chris and thanks for taking the time to create those walkthrus! I play the older Tomb Raider games over and over and I still use your walkthrus when I get stuck! wave

Thanks, to Chris and to You also, Mag, for posting this. Now that I have this WT, I've purchased this fun game from STEAM, and I'm playing it.
I've been a KQ fan since the beginning, so I wasn't going to let this new one go by.

Hi Chris (daventry),
I'm at the part where young Graham has to "jump from pillar to pillar". my problem here is that I can only jump Up, Down. Right and Left.but NOT at an angle. Graham has to jump to some pillars at an ANGLE, and the keyboard won't "cooperate" with me in order to jump at an angle to the next pillar. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I LOVE this game since I am a KQ fan going back many years.
Sandy

You need to hold in the up and left or right button together and then he will jump into an angle, the same way you climbed the wall to get into town, like the same way where you climbed the wall to the Tournament. smile

Because of the distance of the pillars, Graham will look a little weird in witch it will seem thats not the way he points he's leg, he will jump the angle you point at. wink

By the way, i Updated my Walkthrough again because i forgot to explain the directional ways of moving. Thanks Sanford for reminding me laugh

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the walkthroughs and the continued excellence of gameboomers as a homebase for us adventurers.

I'm having a little trouble understanding the path choice mechanic in this game. Hopefully without providing any spoilers: I chose the path of wisdom/thinking/brains etc. To my mind this means that I should use my last gold coin to get the lantern and not to get the pie. However it seems the entire internet used the last gold coin to by the pie. Now the bridge troll wants something to eat, it's obvious it should be the giant pie, but I can't get it since I bought the lantern. I am therefore stuck, yet I refuse to believe that this game was designed (much like our dear old KQ3), with dead ends, and I cannot do what the walkthrough says because I'm now broke. I believe there is a way to progress in the story after having spent your last coin in either of the shops.

Am I crazy? What did I miss?

Thanks!

Hi Moses123,
If you are reading Chris's walkthrough, you will find another coin along the way. You then can go back to the bakery and purchase that HUGE pie. I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the tip, Chris. I tried to hold down the top and left buttons simultaneously and then "JUMP", but even though the "Jump sign" showed at the bottom right of the screen, nothing happened. Graham only "jumped"(Space key) when I used only one directional button, but not two together. Could I be doing something wrong here?
I'm now going to read your updated walkthrough which might make it more clear to this "senior" mind of mine LOL

@Moses123: To mo my knowledge i tried exactly what you did in buying the lantern first witch got me totally stuck. I dont remember much about KQ3 though, in KQ2015 there is no alternative to give the Troll something else, unless the Steak counts witch ironically i dident even bother to try, because the Troll wanted something sweet.

Just came from Twitter where i Tweeted the Odd Gentlemen (Creator of KQ2015) and they say theres no dead ends, so it could mean that Olfie doesent need the Pie. Now theres something for me to try, how about giving him the fruit in witch you can go back to the picnic table and bump the tree for more fruit. I swear if the pie works for the hideous creature in the dark forest, that would be the coolest thing ever.

Thanks for the replies,

@Sandy: Thank you, I will keep an eye out for an extra coin, that must be the way forward. I try to loosely skim the walkthrough for the one specific clue to push me forward, so I didn't read that there was a coin to be gotten.

@daventry: I knew there couldn't be any dead ends. I think Sandy's reference to an extra coin is the way forward. FYI I was referring to the dead end in KQ3, where you enter town and for one second, the first time you enter a frame, a cat darts across the screen. At that moment you need to do something with the cat requiring an object you may or may not have. If you don't have the object or are not quick enough, the cat is gone forever and you can never finish the game, LOL.

Edit: Actually I am stuck, because I can't get the coin without crossing the bridge which I need the pie to do, so...

Edit 2: It seems that if you buy the lantern first then youe need to
Click to reveal..
use it on the guards at the entrance to the arena, thus pretending that it is the eye of a hideous beast. They buy it and you can progress...

Perhaps this detail can be included in the walkthrough?

Thanks again everyone...

Well, Chris, I finally was able to jump at an angle by holding down both directional keys ans then just TAPPING the "JUMP" key. I got past the pillar jumping puzzle and I've advanced a lot since them. Thank you so much for your valuable input. I'm LOVING this game.

It means I have too much trouble playing games that I have to jump in and have left a couple unfinished because of it. Jumping to me is action!

Saying "thanks for the info" meant just that. I totally appreciate walkthroughs and info about games that MIGHT influence whether or not I buy them. I wrote above "probably have to skip this game" which was not really correct. I will keep my eye on it though knowing there is jumping in it and not just buy it right away.

Thanks.

You're welcome smile

Also, this game is very 'actiony', but failure is more funny than frustrating, and the game let's you try something as much as you want. I almost wanna say you're missing out on some real KQ fun by avoiding it because of the action...
