I have asked on the forms but they are kind of not nice looked in their sort of help section but no help there went to support and created a support account which is separate from my main account it still wont let me sign in even with the password and users name I created. then when I went to sign in to my main account it would not let me in said wrong users name wrong password I guess that I will just give up don't mind steam to much but this is kind of annoying other places that have a support help is usually friendly and helpful sorry but it seems like its so much red tape.Dianne

Did you use copy and paste with the password that they gave you? If you haven't gotten that far on the page where you log in hit the can't remember password... they will send you a link with a special password to get you in... do a copy and paste do not type in the password. this should get you in

I don't know about Steam, but I've encountered several websites that no longer allow copy/pasting of passwords. So be sure to try typing the password in if copy/pasting fails. And if they send you one with dubious characters, like zeroes and capital O's or small L's and ones, try requesting another password or realize you'll have to try it both ways.

Jenny it worked for me... could not log in until I did a copy and paste...

just how do you copy and paste in windows 10 do you have to have the steam client installed on your computer before it works properly I have never come across something so hard just to create a support account.Dianne

You copy in paste in Windows 10 the same way as always since at least Windows 98... highlight, right click/copy... cursor where you want it, right click/paste.

I've submitted support tickets in the past, but I don't remember what I did. I assume you may need to have the Steam Client installed, but I'm not sure.
