I have been offered unlimited fibre speed from my ISP as opposed to 40mb top, I've never heard of unlimited speed, only unlimited total downloads without a data cap. although it is cheaper I notice my upload speed is reduced from 7.6 to 1.9, I am confused as to what upload is can you give me any idea?? mj2c already answered this. If you back up large files online, for example if you use Carbonite or some other online backup service and have a lot of photos or home movies on your hard drive, you'll probably want to keep the service with the higher upload speed.

Well I'm from "Ooop North" and Rural so it was a quite while before fibre optic broadband became available. But as soon as it did I opted for the top package from those within "Infinity" provided by British Telecom. No "cabled" broadband options round here but in any case I find Infinity is plenty fast enough for me
