I've made it to Brenner's house and am now locked in looking for the bomb. I know where it is since I read it in the hints, but have not gotten the 'examine' icon to look at it. I've do have the key from the briefcase on the table to unlock the bomb case. But, when Shamley picks up the ladder, he turns around and gets stuck, walking in place. Kind of funny to look at. Is that because I haven't really officially seen the bomb (seen the examine icon)? Or is there a glitch in the game here? Does anyone know? <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/woozy.gif" /> What do I have to do to trigger the 'examine' icon?

Why don't you try doing it the other way: pick up the fireplace Shovel, go get the library ladder, climb up to the bomb control box and whack it with the shovel...

I did what you suggested, and no luck. He still gets stuck walking in place with the ladder.

I may have to get a save game from someone past this point. Darn and darn. Anyway, I'll be leaving in a few minutes and won't be at my own computer for a week, so won't be playing. But if anyone has any suggestions, or a save game, please post it here since I'll be able to access the internet and my email.

As I recall, the hotspot is above the door you originally entered through.

None of the saved games from the first time I played through the game will work. I'm playing through again, but I'm not at Bremer's house yet.

Hi all the way I did it was I took the key from the box on the table took the ladder first then opened the box with the key and cut the wires with the knife or you can use the scissors I used the knife It took me 2 try's Thanks to the great walkthrough.

Thanks, Leeana. I'm pretty sure I did it that way, also, but I'll give it another try when I get home this weekend. Maybe a week away from the game will make things different. If not, I may ask you for a save game.

Did Shamley get stuck walking in place at all when you tried it the first time?

I've got the same problem as JMK. Everytime I take the ladder in Brenners house Shamley gets stuck behind the couch. I'm positive that this is a bug in the game. Can somebody please email me the save game right after the bomb or when Shamley is standing on the ladder in front of the bomb. Thanx
