I'm glad to hear you're doing well, Draclvr, and can enjoy your morning coffee.

I'm still curious what that "large mass" could be and whether it's responsible for the blood clots.

I'm thinking the same way as Jenny100 about the large mass. Please let us know when you have more news. We are all concerned & thinking of you. Please get a lot of rest. Really great that you are up & drinking coffee smile.

Well, believe it or not, I'm home! I slept for a couple of hours and thought I was going to die getting up out of the bed with no railings! Think I need to get a small pillow to hold on my stomach.

Doctor says this is a marginal mass – not the right word, but I can’t think of it right now – which means it is not cancer, but may have cells which could become cancer. He will have a plan for what he wants to do when I go see him again in 2 weeks. He said this is something they even treat with chemo, but he will have to look a little deeper at what it is. And yes, Jenny, it is most likely the cause of the blood clots.

I guess he had quite a time during surgery. He had decided at the last minute to do it with laproscopy. This mass is way too big to get out that way, so he was going to “bag it” along with the ovary and pull out my vagina. But he couldn’t make it work, so he had to make two MORE incisions to get it out... so than makes 5 small incisions. The pain isn’t there though, but in my lower abdomen where he “assaulted me” getting everything out! I was in the OR for almost 3 hours, of course worrying Dave to death.

So now, it’s just time, time time...

That's it! Borderline - the word wouldn't pop into my head! Surgeon didn't seem to think it was, but he will be looking at it in more depth before I go back in 2 weeks.

Even if I would have had to open surgery, I would have only been in for 2 or 3 days. Since mine was laproscopy, he tossed me out in 1 day! They gave me a special abdominal block which was two injections in the lower layer of the skin which was supposed to help with the surgical pain. And it did - until it wore off this afternoon!

OMG. Sounds horrible. This is why I just stay away from doctors. I could not go through that!

I can't believe you're home already. Please take it easy so you heal up!

I had three incisions for my appendectomy and remembering not to use your stomach muscles was murder! Two I didn't feel it at all but one he cut the muscle and it was quite painful. Rolling over to your side before you attempt to get up helps.

I'm glad its something treatable Drac, hopefully without chemo. Time to rest and heal. hearts

I'm glad you're well enough to be home, Draclvr.
Hopefully removing the "mass" will fix the blood clot problem and you won't need any further treatment.

Happy to hear you are home Drac! Hopefully when you see the doctor in 2 weeks he will have good news on the "mass" he removed. Take care and don't over do!
Love, Hugs, and Prayers heading your way!

WooHoo, Drac, so glad you are home.

Yes, a pillow for your tummy and rolling over on your side to get up will both help. Let someone else take care of you for a while and move around as you can. luck Gentle hugs.
