Greetings Boomers...

I'm about half-way through this game and the
eye-strain is beginning to be a bit much...
I am in the Lab and have prepared the furnace to
'power up' the Lab...except I can't seem to find
the 'generator-valve' on the floor...
Hunted high and low...here I need a clue..please!

I am using Tally Ho's excellent walkthrough...

Solver, did you go back and look near the entrance to the laboratory?

Hello Sue...

Oh yes...but this game is so lacking in light
that I could stumble over a cow and not see it...
but yes, I have followed all the proper steps...

LOL, stay away from the cows Solver. Can you adjust the lighting of your computer to alter this at all?

You are using TH's walkthrough and he has stated specific steps. So if you face the door, step left once and turn left, you don't get any kind of cursor that lets you know you are near anything?

Here I go again...
I've got the 'Brain' talking, in fact he has
repeated everything at least six times...
Must I keep him talking until he shuts down
before I can proceed?...

I went to the herb-cabinet...looked in the botany
book at Euphorbia...clicked on the lower-right
quadrant of the cabinet trying to find the
Charcoal drawer...but I get no cursor...

Believe me..this time I read and reread the W/T
four times not to miss anything...
Please clue me as to what I DID miss!..SOLVER

I had a hard time finding this drawer too, Solver. If you're sure you're in the right cabinet, keep moving your mouse slowly and click on every drawer there.

You did read the book of the dead spell book first, didn't you? If not, that could be the problem.

Good luck.

Hello Melanie...
I have examined all the furniture in the Lab and
the only cabinet that seems logical is the one
next to the little desk with the Botany book on
it...am I correct?
I have read the'SPIRITS OF THE DAY' and the 'BOOK
OF OATHS'[for good measure]...

What do you suppose they mean when they say...
"lower right quadrant"?...I always thought a
quadrant was 1/4 of something...SOLVER

Hi solver -

I'm home for the evening if you still need help. The charcoal drawer is indeed in the lower right section of the drawers. The label should be visible. It's the Euphorbia that is harder to determine, because the label is worn off, probably because that drawer gets used the most.

(I'm busy writing a walkthrough for a game called NiBiRu, but will check this board from time to time.)

Perhaps I should stop posting...
[asking for assistance]...

I finally located the 'cabinet' sitting on a
table [not the one I originally thought]...
I collected the 'fixins'...opened the lock...
got the ashes...and I'm on my way...

Thank you for all your 'help'...SOLVER

I'm glad you found it, Solver. smile This room was a little confusing, partly because it was so hard to see in it.

Have fun with the rest of the game. smile

Greetings Tally Ho...
Everytime I think I'm making headway I hit a snag

I'm in the Library...have recovered all the books
but one...'Language of Initiates'...found it on
the shelf under the window...
I get the spy-glass to read the title but I donot
get the hand cursor to, as you say "take it to
the office"...
Some advice would be most welcome...SOLVER

Hi Solver,

Try talking to the librarian again and then taking the book. I remember that some conversation was necessary before picking up at least some of the books. This might be that spot.

Good Morning...Guess I spoke too soon...
Please help me..I have 3 questions...
I have 5 cities indicated on the map...

1.What object do I use to indicate Pawtuxet?
2.The W/T says "Connect the first three to form
a triangle"...how pray tell is this done?
3.The W/T says "Use your map to go there".Where?
I sometimes think I've lost a page in the W/T...

Melanie...you were right...more conversation!

Place the items for the first triangle and it will work. Then enter the other items, and Pawtuxet as the third co-ordinate. Then the location will show on the map smile

Greenland...So America...and Africa...
Now please explain to me how I connect them into
a triangle...
And once again...how do I indicate Pawtuxet on
this large map?
I do appreciate your advice...SOLVER

Hi Solver,

You now need to use the letter on So Atlantic Ocean and the statue on Eastern Europe.

It will make a 6 pointed star (2 inverted triangles). I believe it just draws itself when all the marks are on the map, if my memory serves.

You should have 2 points on either side, 1 each on the top and bottom of the map. I hope that helps.
