I got Syberia on the puter and all I can say is WOW! This game has the best graphics I've ever seen on a PC Adventure game. thumbsup

One drawback I've got a P/4 with hyper threading so I had to download the patch because the game was running in slo/mo.

Also playing;
Mummy the Tomb of the Pharaoh

On the Way;
TLJ
Dark Fall
Timescape The Journey to Pompeii

Wouldn't the following Quote also apply to BAAGer's

Gene, that quote kind of sums it up, for me, around hot brownie ala modes laugh Oh yeah, and adventure games too.

Syberia is definitely a beautiful game and the end with the snow was the best. You also have some other fine games on the way. You probably be too busy to visit us anymore frown

Hemlock, lover your wizard! smile Syberia is an awesome game. I am currently playing that with my game buddies Andy and Jasper. And not only are the graphics amazing but I especially like the music, particularly the main theme. Once I play the game I'm haunted by that music for hours afterwards.

I also like the little animations, such as the birds and the water rippling. And wasn't the opening movie breathtaking? I'm really enjoying this game and hope you are too.

Kat, Haven't had a lot of time to play Syberia.I just handed Oscar my train ticket. He won't take it. Have to find some baggage or something still working on it. thumbsup

I'm trying to turn my wizard into an avatar, but I have to build a web page first. laugh

Hemlock, My #1 choice would have to be The Longest Journey.

I favor first person games but I just loved Syberia! Wonderful graphics and music. Great story!

If you like 1st person games that make you jump out of your seat, you will LOVE Dark Fall! wink

thumbsup thumbsup Two thumbs up. I just finished playing Syberia. This was by far the most enjoyable game I've ever played. Stunning graphics, haunting music and smooth trouble free game play laugh I would recommend it to anyone who loves adventure games.

I agree with everything everyone said about SYBERIA. Great graphics, good story, good characters, fairly good conversations.

The one thing that annoyed me about the game was the lack of a mapping feature. There is "endless" walking. The game itself is relatively short. Probably 4-8 hours. So adding in the walking, as opposed to being able to map from one visited location to another, seemed, to me, to be an obvious attemt to artificially extend gameplay.

I just finished Syberia Saturday night. And I was playing with two Boomer buddies so that stretched the gameplay out, even so it only took us 2 weeks. And now that it's over it seems REALLY, TOO short because you really don't want it to end.

I have to say that the ending is one of the best yet I've seen in a game. There's room for a sequel but it also wraps up in a very satisfying way. Incredible game.

My local Game store lets you trade in console games but you have to use the proceeds within the store. I was debating between a platformer (Ratchett and Clank), an RPG (Balders Gate) but I am so glad I picked Syberia for the PS2 instead. Looks like I have a real treat in store.

Hello,
Gene, go load up TLJ and you will say "WOW" agin.
You will notice that April can run. Kate is older it looks the legs are not there as in her youth. April is a teen, but she grows up fast.
Both are top ten games.
Best wishes always,
Rick

I also found there was a lot of walking around in Syberia but if I remember correctly Kate Walker was able to run if you double clicked on the mouse. I found it helped alot.
