Mine is either Myst or Riven and I've probably played them from start to finish 25 times.
What do you see Crispeto? I see URU Live!

WOT! 25 times I am impressed and a tad concerned. Seriously though, I can understand being drawn back many times to a particular game. The most I have repelayed any given game is three. Though I am about to embark on my fourth replay of Outcast. I just love that game so much. Three replays are: Syberia Pandora Directive (to get three of the 7 endings) Zork Grand Inquisitor GK 2 MI 1, 2, 3 Indie and the Search for Atlantis DOTT oops forgot FF8 and 9. a few others =will be there soon.

I've played SHIVERS completely through four times, but I have played particular parts of it, particularly the "Determine-the-Five-Hidden-Symbols-in-Ten-Tries-or-Less" Puzzle (I forget what it is called officially) many, many more times -- that puzzle being "new" every time you play it. For relaxation I sometimes wander through the familiar passages and listen to the interesting room music. It is the second Adventure Game that I played, the first being MYST. It still ranks in my top favorite ten games.

I seem to have BAAGS and I constantly update a waiting list. 25 times.... for an adventure, incredible! I remember playing a non-adventure game many times, but only my rise and fall of over 100 "Civilization"s would match such feat.

I don't replay games too often but probably most of my replays went to the Day of the Tentacle (6 times) followed by Anachronox (4 times).

I have replayed Thief I and II probably around 8 or 9 times each. (I know, I know! Some of you hard-nosed adventurers will not accept Thief as adventure.) Zork the Grand Inquisitor, Twinsen's Oddyssey, Timelapse, Obsidian, Myst....Oh, my! I have to cut short this review of my replays. It looks like I am re-creating my "List most Twisty". Do love my old games!!!!

I've played a few games twice, but with so many unplayed I can't bring myself to play them again. I have two lists...unplayed & permanent. They are both about the same length. Permanent is games I love & will play again. Someday..... Oh, Laura, I so envy you. I can't get Outcast to play flawlessly on either of my machines (Win98 - cruddy graphics card, XP - possibly too fast of graphics card) I've played the "intro" town several times & have done a little exploring, but it crashes continually. Durn, durn, durn! It looks so good. Hey, maybe I have a bad disc? Yeah....THAT'S it, it's not my computer. Love, Jen

From 1994/5 to 1999, Myst was the main adventure game we replayed. I am well past 25 times on it, probably well past 125 times. After awhile we were making new games for ourselves using it: I.E.: Name a new constellation (planetarium), shapes in static, bark, clouds (This was a rainy day activity. Otherwise I'd have used my backyard) The race to Atrus etc etc etc Actually I ended up replaying all the games I had at least 3-5 times & probably many more times. {Zork/Infocom games, Gobliins, Lost Vikings, RTZ, Simon 1, Labyrinth of Time, Freddy Pharkas, Journeyman Project 1, Eric the Unready...} We've replayed favorite rpgs like Lufia & Chronotrigger quite a few times too. In fact some games like Pandora's Box, Spyro, Zelda (any) & Civilization are always on the computer/console because someone is always in the middle of a game. In the fall of 1999 we got a new compy & I acquired several more titles soon afterward which I proceeded to play & replay: Riven (especially), Journeyman Project trilogy, RotS, etc... I played realMyst again recently as soon as we set up the new compy and was amused to find that after at least 5 months I still have all the codes memorized. I haven't been replaying Myst & Riven nearly as much since I started accumulating my own BAAGs to-play pile. Now with Uru to finish & replay as well I have more things to play than time to play them That said, we still replay some adventure games. We have replayed ZGI 3x already & we only got that one going last summer! We still visit the sunners & Myst island occasionally but I'm not playing to the end very often. Susan | | |

I've played many of my adventure games twice, usually with my sister or a friend the second time. I've played Myst/Real Myst 3 times, and Riven 4 times, the last time to unlock and view all the Easter eggs. When my new copy of Alida for Mac OS X arrives, I'll replay that one for the third time. I may play The Feeble Files only once, since I think it's going to take me the rest of my life to figure everything out!

Hands down, it's The Sims in all it's versions for me. I don't replay my adventure games until I've forgotten them a little, and have a long time in between the first and next time. Melanie

I would have to say that Dark Fall and Ghosts for me are the games I love to replay the most. If it were a paperback novel ....I guess the front covers would have fallen off and a few hightleghted pages would be taped back in at the bindings. heeheeheeInferno

I keep all the Myst games on my computer and visit the parts I like in them often. Riven is the one I go to most often just to take a vacation. I visit the sunners and ride the monorails or tease the Wrok.
I have played Schizm, Rhem, Dark Fall several times. If I like a game I usually replay it right after I finished it just to see what I missed in the heat of the moment.

Lately I have been playing Uru and enjoying the graphics. I even enjoy all the jumping we have to do.

TimeLapse is another game I have played more than once.

I have to qualify my answer, because I write so many walkthroughs. If I do a WT, I always "Play" the game through just for me. (I want my twenty bucks' worth, too!) Then I replay it at least once (sometimes more) to write the WT and then again to check my accuracy.
So those replays don't count. My faves, TimeLapse, Obsidian, the Zork's, several others; have been played so much that if they were LP's you could hear the difference in the sound.

Currently playing a game I have had since its publication, but have resisted it because of the 'gross' artwork on the box. I don't care for blood 'n guts, so Sanitarium has languished on my shelf for years. Oh, My! what a captivating game. It goes back to what I have harped on - it's the STORY that matters - the writers make or break a game.

I'm only getting to the start of chapter 3, but I know I will stick it out to the end and enjoy. I will deal with the nutcases, children, monsters, whatever, because I can already tell that the story-line will hold together right to the end. The puzzles, even if they are somewhat gruesome, are integrated into the story as well as possible. This is a no-nonsense game, and the production crew gets my highest praise. I'll clamp my jaw and deal with the gore; I don't like that part, but it's life. (Or death.) Good job, guys.

To tell you the truth, I have yet to replay games at all...and I have quite a few I would like to play again, but with all the new games coming out, it is very hard not to play the new ones...
The most one I want to replay is The Longest Journey...

Replayable games for me are more on the dark side of these boards (as Syd has so eloquently named them).
Tomb Raider series - 3 or 4 times
Morrowind - 3 times
Diablo I & II - two times
Divine Divinity - 2 times

I periodically through the years have gone back to some of my original adventure games and replayed them for nostalgic purposes and have played the King's Quest series (which started me on adventure gaming) and Phantasmagoria a few times but there have been years between playing time so, it's almost like a new game when I do replay it. Especially as I get along in years and my memory fades (lol)

You laugh because I'm different
I laugh because you're all the same

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Mine would be Riven , waaaay over 25 times. When my grandson was 3 and 4 years old, he wanted to play Riven every time he came over. Now, my 2 1/2 year old grandson enjoys playing it. My second most played game would be Amerzone , for the same reasons. ~Dee | | |
