Does anyone have any experience with successful 3d scanning on here? My husband and I like cosplay and we came up with the idea to try to make 3D models of our favorite game characters and then find a company that deals with 3d printing and can print our cosplay in the form of small sculptures. Something like this but using our XBox 360 Kinect as a cheap 3d scanner.
So we failed with our first "selfies" cause the quality of the scans was terrible, it seems that the problem is in the distance from the object or the lighting quality in the room... Anyway we we will try again in the next weekend.
Has anyone tried this?
