Unfortunately, none of these games play on the IOS system. They are all Windows based games. However, some of them are available in the App Store, but they are dumbed down versions with most of the puzzles removed.

Maybe someone who has one can help you out with some similar games made for IOS.

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE STILL HERE!! Thanks for info. I don't even know how to use it yet...son sent for my Bday...have gotten so have to lie down more than used to to rest bad spine/hips/knees etc....pffui! gut cannot take laptop this win7 -from here too heavy but that ipad air is very light in weight. that is reason he got it for me...and could be comfy and use internt, game...oh and have phone. Did a look around on the 'net (have not used the 'app'store yet...and
did not see many games i would be interested in...i did think i saw Riven available...but did not check into it further.
I have never used an ipad before...or anyone who had one and used around me...so is all new to me and i've not made much progress. tried to reply to an email...fail...pffui...thought i would get a game so might have a bit more confidence and enjoyment while i blunder my way through learning something entirely new....Thanks for the reply....I still have my xp and have the win7...but they're no use for newer games...but i still play ALL my older gamed on my xp! All the Myst games..(yep, all those dics AND the cases and the beautiful boxes! i have a small room that is shelves all the way around and is filled with all the old games and i still love them....Amerzone, the Dark Fall series..Schizm 1 and 2....would like to play games like those online but none like them...getting older sucks-sometimes. noe i get a bit of an adventure fix with Big Fish acventure hidden object point/click but not the real satifaction of the older games!

Your best source of information is probably colpet.

At one point I had the following for IOS 7 (I don't know for sure that they still work on the current version of IOS)
I think these are only for mobile (IOS/Android) -- at least I don't have PC versions of them:

Alice Trapped in Wonderland
Crimson Manor
Enchanted Worlds
Lost Fountain
Lost Ship
Forever Lost 1, 2, and 3
The Haunt 1, 2
Hidden World
Lost City
The Lost Kingdom
Mystery of Blackthorn Castle
Panmorphia
Riddenhurst
Telescope Hill
The Room series
Treasure

+_+_+_+_+_+_+

The following have PC versions, but are complete or nearly so:

7th Guest (almost complete, missing two puzzles but one is the microscope puzzle)
5 Magical Amulets
Myst
realMyst
Riven

+_+_+_+_+_+_+

The following are stripped down versions with content and puzzles removed and I would not recommend them at all:
Amerzone, Atlantis 2, 3 Cleopatra, Secrets of Da Vinci, Egypt 2, 3, Return to Mysterious Island, Road to India, Secrets of the Lost Cavern.

+_+_+_+_+_+_+

Big Fish has many casual games for IOS that are essentially the same as the PC versions.
They may have fewer hidden objects or allow you to magnify the screen.

The best games for iPad in my humble opinion are "The Room" series. They work wonderfully well on the touch screen and are intriguing, slightly spooky puzzlers.

Also recommend "Monument Valley" - optical illusion puzzle game with beautiful graphics.

Technobabylon plays well on the iPad. It's third person and a bit retro looking, but the story is very good. I haven't finished it yet, so I can't vouch for the ending.

Carpe chocolate.

I was a new iPad user about a year ago and went through a similar process of discovery. My favorites, by far, were The Room games. Stick with the first one even though it may seem a bit boring/slow at first and hopefully you will get hooked, as I did. By the time you finish that series, you will have a pretty good idea of what the iPad brings to the gaming table, and how it differs from a PC. The Room series capitalizes on the touch screen and the gyroscope. Then go forth and explore the App store! There are a lot of games for the iPad, and the list above is an excellent starting point, although a bit dated now. Enjoy!

There isn’t a lot of full Adventure games being made for the iPad. A few PC games have been ported over, including Eyes of Ara, The Witness (loved this!), Riven, and Myst. The Samrost, and Machinarium games can be found as apps.
The Room games have already been mentioned. Here are some other full games I recommend:
House of Da Vinci
Forever Lost 1, 2, and 3
A Short Tale
Panmorphia and Panmorphia Enchanted
Puzzle House

Gorogoa
Agent A Chapters 1-4 (excellent retro fun)
Isoland 1 and 2
