Good things come to those who wait...

View the video here.

After much and many delays, Blackenrock will be out later this year (Nov), come rain, shine, or murder. Here are some familiar, and unfamiliar, locations and scenes from the sequel to The Lost Crown and Midnight Horror.

Happy Gaming!

On Jonathan's Twitter account, part of his profile reads as follows:

Quote
Guy behind supernatural adventure games: The Lost Crown and the Dark Fall series. Also runs the Where Is Blackenrock Fan Club.

Reading that made me smile. smile

Don't know, but i think it's something like this:

Dark Fall (self-published, then some time later a slightly reworked version was published by The Adventure Company)

Dark Fall: Light's Out (later to be released as the reworked (and imo massively improved) Director's Cut.

The Lost Crown (again with a slightly enhanced edition released on Steam a couple of years later)

Dark Fall: Lost Souls

The Lost Crown: Midnight Horror

Well, I seem to remember reading somewhere that he made another game before Dark Fall that was never published and isn't there a demo of (yet another) Lost/Last Crown game (Silent Night) on Steam? And I believe he was somewhat involved in creating the Barrow Hill games too.

Anyway, it gets harder and harder to keep up! But since the first Dark Fall and The Lost Crown both reside on my top ten list I just hope something will materialise some day. I know I'll buy it the day it happens, although Midnight Horror was pretty disappointing.

Jonathan plans on making that first game of his that was never published, available pretty soon. It is called The Displacement. He is going to be selling it as part of a bundle along with Dark Fall: Ghost Vigil on the Shadow Tor store.

You can read about it here.

I'm glad to see he's going to be selling it DRM-free on the shadowtor store.
At least it's listed there as "Coming Soon."

A Mystery Manor member received a DVD of a Dr. Who story and a ticket to a tour of the village where it was made for his birthday. He just posted a picture of himself with Jonathon Boakes signing his Dark Fall The Journal game! He also met Matt Clark!

Hey now, this is good news! I remember emailing Mr Boakes about his first game years ago and if he was still offering it for sale, and he said he would consider it. Looks like he finally came around. Nice!
