As soon as you made that corner, the big mausoleum on your left has the horned gargoyle. Face it and see the gargoyle on top of the mausoleum.

I seem to remember something about the color being opposite? I'll have to look at the walkthrough later. I know I died here at least 10 times before I got through! This one and the Jacob's Ladder puzzle really got me... When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.
