You are always helpful in one way or another!!

I am saying moving the whole Firefox screen with however many open tabs there are. Not moving my desktop screen.

So you're saying you have Firefox set to be full screen and not windowed?
And that Firefox is the only program that has part of itself chopped off when set to full screen?

Note that there's a difference between having it set to full screen and having a large window where you dragged the edges of the window to the sides of your monitor.

I think F11 key makes it go to full screen.

I'm sorry. I cannot explain it any differently. I have not "set" Firefox to full screen or windowed. I have left it at whatever the default is when you install it. And, yes, Firefox is the only program that I had this problem with. It was not actually "chopped" off, but just a little too far over on the right so that it hid most of the scroll bar.

And, I'm not talking about dragging the edges of the window anymore. Originally, I could not even do that. I did do it at one point (as stated prior):

"No, that doesn't help. I googled and found to "alt/spacebar" "move" "use left arrow to move the screen" "enter". It doesn't fix it though. It works for that session but closing Firefox and going back in, the screen is over to the right again.

Oh, I tried it again and this time shrunk the screen using my cursor on the side of the screen and it seems to work. I have it too small now so will have to fix it some more but I'd rather it be too small than too big."

I have it sized perfectly now and it is behaving. But still, now I am not sure, is it normal to be able to left click at the top of the screen (in the area where the tabs are) and just move the whole screen?

In a word, yes! It really does sound like you have things back to the way you want them. That moving thing is part of the snap feature. I love it. I've used it to great advantage when I want to drag and drop files from one place to another. I never have more than one window open except when I'm doing something like that, so it works for me.

Well, guess what. Last night I changed the icon in the upper right corner from showing full screen to showing windowed (I guess that's it - from a open square to it showing like two open squares. Today, my tabs are back flush on the left where they belong. duh

That little square thing is not for full screen or windowed. It is to make the screen smaller and to maximize. If you hover over it, it will say "restore down" or "maximize. I agree - very odd! Somehow you had changed the screen size and just "restoring down" fixed it. That's the last thing I would have thought of, although it does make sense.

This is reminding me of a time when I was working from home doing medical transcription while getting paid on production. Somehow I managed to push the wrong keys inadvertently and found myself looking at a screen full of text that had gone completely sideways. Put me into a total panic and did not even know such a thing was even possible.

Had to call the technical support of my company located in Tennessee and they were able to fix it. The whole episode made me feel like I had lost my mind. lol

I'm constantly inadvertently bring up some strange screen too! Luckily, I can X out of it. I have a new clicky gaming keyboard and it's worse now as I get used to the keyboard!

Weird but good

Drac - yes "restore". Hovering isn't showing me anything at the moment but I have see that showing before, just can't ever remember stuff like that.

Marian, that would panic me also! I have on occasion had some type of half screen open up that looks like programming stuff that panics me. I've always been able to close it somehow. I don't remember off hand where I've done that but it has been several times. This is one of the things that worries me about digging too deep in my computer to find a file or something. If I accidentally hit a key in the wrong place...

That's the same one I'm talking about! The key combo to open it up must be something I am prone to hit.
