I played the first game back in January. I don't remember it too well but I know I did like it. It was quite short though. Tonight I started the second game and played for about an hour. So far, I am really liking this one also. They're pretty old games. I'm playing them in my Windows 7 computer.

I like the Dragon Mountain games. Some other games by Cateia that I have also enjoyed are Black Rainbow, Hotel, Legend of the Crystal Valley (Big Fish used to have this one but it has since been removed), and Myths of Orion: Light from the North. There are others, but I would have to go looking for the complete list.

An Amazon reviewer for the first Dragon Mountain said it played just fine on their Windows 10 computer.

I'm glad you are enjoying the Dragon Mountain games. And according to their website, Dragon Mountain 3 is in development.

Edited to Add: Your post got me thinking about the Dragon Mountain games again and very early this morning after having some trouble sleeping, I downloaded the first Dragon Mountain game to play again. I am into Chapter Four now and really enjoying it!

I have played 2 of the games you mentioned and have the other 2. I think I searched for Cateia games before because I like their games OR maybe you had posted a link and I checked it out.

Another game they dig that comes to mind, that is an Adventure game, is Kaptain Brawe. I played the first game of that series in January also and have the second game ready and waiting to be played very soon.

Where Angels Cry is another game I think they did that I quite liked.

I'm sorry you were having trouble sleeping but glad a game I mentioned was there for you wink.

Is the other "Tales from the Dragon Mountain" the one called "The Strix" ??

I looked at that earlier today but it doesn't say it will play on a Windows 7 machine so I didn't get it.

Does it play on Win7 then ??

Thanks.

Mad smile

I don't ever mind having trouble sleeping when I know I don't have to get up and go to work. When that happened to me back in the days when I was working and I knew my work day was starting at 4:15 a.m., it was horrible. Now, it's no big deal. smile

Red Crow Mysteries: Legion is another of their games.

I have Where Angels Cry (haven't played it yet) but never picked up the two parts of Kaptain Brawe. I'll pick those up with some free game codes when I am able to do so. Where Angels Cry had a sequel of sorts that was released as a CE on Big Fish - Tears of the Fallen.

Really happy you mentioned Dragon Mountain. happydance

Mad - The Strix is the first game and The Lair is the second game. I have 1 from Steam and 2 from Big Fish. Played/playing both in Win 7.

Marian - I have (but not played) Red Crow but I did play both Where Angels Cry games. The first Kaptain Brawe was pretty good. I think you'd like it.

Just finished The Strix. I found it to be a relaxing, pleasant, and charming game. Not sure what will be next, but it's nice to have part two right here when I am ready. smile

And the game is fine with Windows 7, Mad. wave

These games I do feel certain you will like Mad!

Marian, did you like Where Angels Cry? I played it a long time ago but I do remember that I liked it.

Yes, I did enjoy the game, oldbroad. The setting was different and I thought the game had a good atmosphere. It's one I might replay at some point.

I'm still playing this game. First time stuck on a puzzle (in these 2 games). I know I've solved this type of puzzle before but my brain just doesn't want to figure it out. I'm only half thinking but mostly hoping I will just hit upon the solution lol. I've been at it on two different days now, trying not to use the skip button. We'll see. Sometimes when I post about being stuck, I get unstuck. shocked

Good luck with it. I find it really hard not to get impatient with a puzzle after more than a few minutes. I am trying to do better that way but not always succeeding.

Since Friday evening, after reading this thread, I've played Myths of Orion: Light from the North, Tales From the Dragon Mountain: The Strix and Tales From the Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair. All played beautifully on my Win 10 computer, which I did not expect since these are old games. I bought The Strix back in 2012 but I don't believe I ever played the game. Myths of Orion I will definitely play again. I also realized how much I miss those maps....lol

Now, I'm looking forward to playing Red Crow Mysteries Legion tonight. happydance

And finished!

I hope you're right about a third game, especially if it will be similar to these two.
Sorry Marian. That doesn't sound right. I know their website says the game is in development. I just hope that it really is, and gets finished.

I got this second game with a free game code from a giveaway here at GB, so thanks again to somebody smile.

You are right that "in development" is no guarantee. We can hope.

Another game finished! I am tempted to start part two myself, but I've decided to save it for a while. smile

I've been playing the first of these two games and have just repaired the elevator on the mountain.

I certainly like the game but have found some of the workings rather strange.

At times being somewhat directed as to where to go or what to do and at other times being left to wander and wonder laugh

I didn't really notice what you mention, Mad, but I am glad that you are liking the game nevertheless. wave

Ditto what Marian said. As I mentioned in my original post: "I don't remember it too well but I know I did like it."
