I played it. I thought it was a great puzzle game. Mostly doable but I did need help later in the game on a puzzle or two.

The game really sounds like a good one for puzzle lovers, and the price is great. I hope you enjoy it, Winfrey! smile

Are you playing Winfrey? If so, any thoughts/comments on the game yet?

Quern has since been released on GOG, and I played it recently. It was a bit on the easy side for me, and it borrowed a lot from Myst games, from the looks to the puzzle designs. It offered a pleasant time, but nothing groundbreaking.

You sure are making the rounds through all these old threads GamingPhreak.

I really enjoyed Quern a lot. I didn't think it was easy but since I was able to solve all the puzzles (but one) on my own, I can see see that some would find it easy. For me it was a good level of difficulty, causing me to think, but still able to solve and have fun with it (except that one puzzle),

All this confinement is making me chatty!

Quern is clearly a homage to Myst, perhaps a bit too much homage. The guy who made the original Myst, Rand Miller, is still making games today. His last game was Obduction, which was fairly challenging.

lol

Yes, I played Obduction earlier this year. I did fairly well with it but towards the end I turned to a walkthrough. I did not like Obduction as much as Quern though,
