I know this is an old game and I have the disc and played it a long time ago. However, this time round I appear to have done every little thing correctly but after scanning the cards, can't get out of the Lab and no idea why. I've even replayed quite a bit of the game once again and still the same result. All I get every time I try to walk out the door is "put the evidence back where you got it from" - which was on Wangs desk., but she can't put the evidence back there and neither can she talk to Wang again. I'd love to finish the game but now am stuck. Can anyone please help?

I can only refer you to the walkthrough for this problem (written and video walkthroughs).

Having said that, I have been reading the posts in the Hints forum here for a very long time now and your exact situation has come up many times, this situation where people are stuck in the lab and can't leave, receiving the same message that you do when they try.

Take a look, for example, at this thread from the Steam forum for the game:

Unless someone else comes along with a different idea, or a saved game, I really can't think of anything else to suggest, unfortunately.

Thanks Marian, Actually the part I was referring to is where she has to sacn the card with the joker on it. this isn't the same place that those people were stuck on though. I did the scan O.K. then spoke to Wang and tried to leave, he says to put the evidence back where I found it, but that was on his desk and you simply cannot put the evidence back there. I know I had no trouble with this the first time I played the game some years ago and for some silly reason I downloaded the game from Big Fish Games as although I have it somewhere, I just can't find it. So now I'
m thinking that theie downloaded game has a bug in it. Oh well, looks as though I'll have to just find the original disc.

Ah, I see. It did sound like a similar problem to the one I remembered people having.

I will take a look around and see if I can find any help for this issue. I don't recall the Big Fish version having any particular issues with bugs - and it's the same game as the one you get on a CD.

Big Fish has a walkthrough for the game here. Maybe take a look at it to see if there is some little thing that you might have missed?

Thanks again everyone. now I'm darn well stuck trying to disable the laser at the power plant. I have about 4 different walkthroughs plus Utube ones but for some reason every time I turn the knob around to what appears to be the correct place, all I do is blow the place up!! Very frustrating and no idea what I can be doing wrong!

That does indeed sound frustrating. Maybe someone here who has played the game will be able to help out.

Thanks again, already have the Big Fish walkthrough and had forgetten about UHS Hints, but that one helped a bit, now stuck again at the next laser blinking light, followed each walkthrough religiously but still blow everything up. Don't think I've ever had so much trouble with a game and yet I did play it many years ago! - Oh Well, thants life I guess.

There are a few steps to work with the card (which is a Jack not a Joker, btw). Perhaps you are skipping one. After getting Wang's permission, scan both sides of the card. You will need to use gloves to handle it. After scanning, put the card back into its plastic sleeve and leave it on the desk to the left of Wang. After finding out your computer is in pieces, use Wang's computer to investigate the card. Good Luck.
