A first person horror mystery
No real "adventure game type puzzles"
But evey day you have an objective to accomplish.

High points of the game are the creepy
haunted house atmosphere and the sound design

Autosaves at the end of each day in the game
Fortunately the days aren't that long.

First person 3D movement.

Thank you for the review.

Thanks Dan and Jenny!

I feel pretty similar about the game. It wasn't quite what I expected and I didn't really care for the cell phone communication too much, (or the woman). I also had the "dialogue audio issues".

Thanks for the review. I do have to disagree with the story being weak. I played the game twice to see the different endings. It took a while to get the game off of my mind, after playing it. When a game does that, I consider it a great game. wavegirl

I saw a review of Rachel Foster on YouTube that really reamed it. The YouTube guy did a good job explaining why too. I'll let you find the review yourself if you're interested, because it's full of spoilers, not just for Rachel Foster but for a couple of other games and movies he compares it (and its faults) with. He also mentions some sort of guidelines for writing about suicide responsibly, and claims this game broke every one. So it's not just that he didn't like the game. He actually thinks it's harmful.

One thing he says that I think we can all agree with is that the ESRB warnings are insufficient. There's a huge difference between a swear word and the topics this game covers. The word in the title is certainly not the worst thing in the game, and those worse things get glossed over (and even excused) which is part of the YouTube reviewer's problem with the game.

I don't remember what the warning/rating was, it's definitely NOT a game for everyone.
