Good question. Röki and Geospots were my favorites from this year.

I point, therefore I click.

Due to my work schedule I play most of my games in the beginning of the year. This means that most of the games I’ve played this year was from last year, and I will hopefully have time to catch up with this year’s releases in the coming months. However, two games released early in 2020, and thus i had time to play, deserve an honorable mention:

The Suicide of Rachel Foster
Despite its utterly depressing title, it’s a solid game with an intense atmosphere.

Kentucky Route Zero
A surreal David Lynch-like adventure with simplistic, but suiting, graphics, and a stunning soundtrack.

I should also add that a majority of the posters above got it totally right. lol

Hahaha, excellent.
I am extremely bias here, not only because I'm testing these games, but also because it's the only new game I played this year.
But if it still counts, ofc I will say Geospots. lol

For me, it was Creaks from Aminita Games. Just hands down, an excellent game and puzzler. That would be closely followed by Ghost Vigil.

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

Well, 2020 is not over yet, and I hope to see 'Silent Night'...
But so far for me it was 'Creaks', 'Geospots' and 'Ghost Vigil' everybody is talking about - but the most memorable experience was 'General Horse and the Package Of Doom' nobody has mentioned! It is a crazy FMV adventure game from the authors of 'Viktor'. There is my review (in Russian) if anyone is interested smile https://itc.ua/articles/general-hor...cheskoe-kosmicheskoe-videopriklyuchenie/

Well I am kind of partial to Geospots since I MAC OS tested the game and liked it so much I bought the Windows version and played it again ! thumbsup

Other memorable mentions are Dark Fall: Ghost Vigil and Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town !

It's not the years honey, it's the mileage!

Like everybody else, I loved Ghost Vigel and Geospots.

Others I really enjoyed have been:
Beyond a Steel Sky
Suicide of Rachel Foster

Sadly, although I was enjoying them, I didn't manage to finish

Visage

I didn't particularly enjoy:
Curse of Anabelle
Poe & Munro and
Jessika

Thanks for that additional information (games you didn't particularly enjoy) as well as your favorites.

flotsam, in case you don't know, General Horse and the Package of Doom is 1/2 off at the Steam Winter sale. I picked it up based on Iurii's recommendation and the fact that I sometimes like different and weird stuff. I'm not sure yet when I'll get around to playing it though. So many games on my waiting list.
